My husband has been on the phone for three hours trying to close fraudulent accounts. Not a single person will help, just keep transferring. Won't even close the accounts if we drive four hours to a branch. Worst. Experience. Ever

My husband and I have been using the Dollar Bank app for all our banking needs (checking balances, transferring funds, etc.). About one week ago, we tried to log into the mobile app only to find that we needed to install the updated version. No problem right, wrong. After several attempts, I called customer support and left my number for a return call. After about two and a half hours, a lady called me back and when I told her what was going on while trying to log in to our account her reply was "well, you have to upgrade your phone". She did not attempt to help or find a manager that could help me.I understand technology changes but to have a representative of Dollar Bank say to a long-standing customer "upgrade your phone" that is unacceptable. It is because of hardworking, dedicated people that your bank is in business. Please equip your customer service personnel with the tools and training they need to assist customers like us or otherwise you run the risk of losing customers and being known as the unfriendliest, unhelpful bank in town.

THE MANAGER IS HORRIBLE. 401 LIBERTY. AFTER THE NICE FEMALE MANAGER LEFT THE JOB AND BROUGHT HIM IN… HE SHOWED HIS TRUE COLORS.They charged my account 36.45 over draft fee. I transferred 20.00 to my checking and bought something for 6.11 and the app withdrew the 20.00 from my checking and put it back in my savings… which caused me an overdraft. Now when I called the bank for them to correct it. Someone put overdraft protection on my account the same day. The manager at the branch saw me and went right into a room and closed the door.. DIDNT want the deal with it. They wouldnt correct it… the manager wouldn’t credited it. Last year it was my fault and he did not want to help me and I understood… he advised me my protection was off… and it was.. now all of a sudden it’s on the day I called about it. I said… DONT worry God will vindicate me. The manager has an issue with people different than him. You cant be that way, it’s going to bite you back treating?? that way. The world is changing sir, you want respect … you have to give it.

Seriously, you charge a fee if I don't make 6 transactions a month! I am so done with this bank canceling my account today. I called and got horrible customer service and was told I can't cancel my account via phone! I am not driving an hour and 20 minutes to close an account that I didn't drive to open. I sent a fax close my account.

I have been a customer of Dollar Bank for 12 years. I was initially drawn to Dollar Bank because of it's relatively high interest rates for it's Everything Savings program. I have in excess of $20,000 in the savings account and received .010 % interest instead of the 2% quoted. Reason? Not enough transactions on the checking account. I was never told this when I opened the account. I checked the website to see if this policy was in writing, but could not find the document. I called customer service and put on hold for an eternity. I will close out the account and open one at another bank which is offering two times the Dollar Bank interest rate,

Steve Kaminski part of the mortgage loan department very unprofessional and he appears to be siding with sellers agents instead of the person it is obtaining the loan from Dollar. When asked abt other loans he denied they existed! If I can give no stars I would!

During pandemic I set up automatic deposits and withdrawals. Account was marked dormant two months ago. When I called to find out why my bills were having funds returned Dollar Bank told me it's because I haven't physically been to a branch in two years. Why offer online banking if you don't recognize monthly deposits and withdrawals as active? Have had an account for more than 40 years, closing it today.

Really, there has to be an easier way to have your card unlocked to make purchases overseas. 61 freaking callers ahead of me a callback in 90 minutes from someone that hung up after 3 rings. Then to call back and be 66 caller ? by the time they called back I was in bed. Three hours of my time. I highly doubt this is the protocol at other banks. Just a guess

I've been sitting here for 55 minutes on the phone waiting for Someone to answer from the mortgage loan center to absolutely no avail. Obviously customer service in Not a Priority for this bank. I can't afford to waste this much time every time I need to speak with someone. An anti- customer business model is no road to success or profit. Pathetic!

Worst bank I have ever had. Someone has stolen my card info 5 times and they treat me like it’s my fault. They wouldn’t give me my money back twice. So they punish me for other peoples actions. Will be switching to a different bank.

Very disappointed with Dollar Bank mortgage. Have had 3 mortgages over the past 40 years and never missed a payment until about a year ago when my wife and I went to Egypt for a 2 week vacation. Thought I mailed the mortgage check before we left, but I was mistaken. When we got back, I discovered that Dollar Bank turned us into a collection agency. They did not bother to call, as I had service some of the time while in Egypt. Got it all straightened out, but took a big hit on my credit score. Will NEVER use them again for a mortgage or any type of loan.

I needed a bank account and Dollar Bank seemed like a good choice. Lots of local branches, great interest rates, and a low opening deposit fee. I was wrong. From the beginning, it has been nothing but a headache. I got an email from Ellen Tholen for a Mr. Donaldson claiming I had a bank account with them before and it was in collections and that the combined $100 I put into my checking and savings was being used to bring that balance current. First, I am not Mr. Donaldson and second, I never had an account with them.So I called, freaking out. The gentleman I spoke with in sales kept giving me the run around saying I should speak to someone in collections then telling me that no, he could handle the issue for me. To again say I needed to speak to collections then saying he would talk to them for me and get back to me on Monday. Only for me to get an email two hours later from Ellen Tholen again saying that she had sent the email in error and that my identity could not be verified so I had to go into the bank to open my account.I immediately emailed her back, asking when my money would be returned to me as I did not wish to do business with this bank with no answer or timeframe as to when my money will be deposited back to me. Keep in mind that I answered a ton of questions about my former addresses, etc to verify my identity only for them to pull this on me.My goal of opening the account online was to not have to go into my local branch as I work odd hours and late into the evenings. I was not looking to take time off of work to simply open a checking and savings account and thus lose pay. NEVER open an account with them online. Worst bank experience ever and worst first impression.
