The Georgetown Centre is a facility built in 1990 with a deep history and tradition, originally for hosting large weddings and special events. It was sold to new owners in 2022, who are committed to upholding its integrity and classy ambiance. The venue is widely considered the best choice in the Pittsburgh area for a wedding reception or other formal event. The space is very nice and formal with a big dance floor, beautiful decor, and lots of space. It offers several smaller rooms for the bridal party or other specific needs. The owners and staff are described as kind, accommodating, easy to work with, and quick to answer questions. They help every step of the process, are very acquiring and pleasant, and keep the event moving. Staff are super friendly, quick to clear tables, and constantly offer water and coffee. Bartenders are personable and keep up with requests. The food is fantastic and excellent, with an extensive menu full of delicious options for buffets. The service is excellent. For cookie tables, the staff will replenish them when needed and can set up everything as requested, though some note that now you may have to tray your own cookies. The team coordinates well with other vendors like DJs and photographers. They create lasting memories and go over and above to make events a memorable evening, with many stating they would host an event here again.
Food was fantastic and staff was even better! You can tell it is new owners the place is not same as it was before. You now have to tray your own cookies and decorate yourself. That all used to be done for you. Times have changed for sure!
