I did not stay here. We stopped in for a drink and dinner on a Saturday night. The spaghetti dinner and appetizers were great! The drinks could have been stronger.

This was our second time staying here. We enjoy this hotel for the decor and vibe. Staff is welcoming and friendly. Great downtown location for a date night away from the kids. Felt safe as well.

This would be a 3.5 star rating if I could give half stars. The hotel delivered on the most important things but there were several smaller oversights/inconveniences.Pros- Located very close to everything downtown Pittsburgh- Clean room, comfortable bed (we had a great sleep)- Fantastic shower (shower head pressure is fantastic)- We were invited to a complimentary wine night upon arrivalCons- When booking we were told our room would be decorated for our Christmas trip but it wasn't when we arrived- Our pet friendly room was not on the ground floor, so we had to go up & down elevators (we always waited for an empty one but sometimes had to share with guests getting on at different floors) with our golden retriever and all our stuff. Our dog is well trained, so this was just an inconvenience for us but for other guests this could be a big problem- Staff were unhelpful when we asked for nearby non-valet parking garage recommendations. Luckily Google was helpful.- Room service messed up twice when we specified a simple dietary restriction (we called to let them know about the error, and they sent a remake with the exact same problem)

We had a fantastic time here during a friends wedding. We loved how accommodating and dog friendly this hotel really is. The decor , the service and the ambiance all encompassing a quintessential overnight stay in downtown Pittsburgh. Tip- if you pass on the valet, there is an overnight garage right around the corner.

Really great service and staff. The theme and design is unique and I enjoyed the classy and boutique look. Loved the vibes, everyone gets a yoga mat, can request (I did) a plant be placed in your room, but they also make sure to provide the comforts like a bathrobe. My only issue was the bed wasn't very comfortable. (and $42 nightly parking is a little on the high side). But it's a great hotel. And get the coffee, it's really great and roasted to perfection, it's some of the best I've had, and I've been to many coffee plantations and cafes across the world . All in all, really liked the place. Give this place a try, you won't regret it.

Unique but odd design. A bird cage with a chandelier next to the bed. Friendly staff, slow elevator. Hard to get into due to location and limited access to temp parking. Had to strain for our "park view"Walkability: Close to PPG Paints arena

We enjoyed our one night stay in a large spotless room with a king bed and great pillows. The carpet was so clean I didn't mind walking on it in my socks! The soaps and shampoos have a pleasant fragrance. The staff were friendly and helpful. Room service isn't available until 5pm so I had a wedge salad with a surprise topping of crunchy garlic bits in the lovely restaurant for lunch, tasty. There is a makeshift bodega at the front desk where one is able to purchase small bottles of alcohol along with a variety of snacks. Park in the garage across the street ($22.00 for overnight) if you want to save the $42.00 charge for Valet Service.

I’d love to love this hotel but the mattresses and pillows were awful. We even asked for extra pillows and they were paper thin. I didn’t have a decent night sleep the entire stay. The bathrooms have no exhaust fans so the bathroom becomes a wet mess after a shower. The front desk was great, the location was great, but the hotel could use some updating. Seems they almost cater more to weddings and things of that nature and the regular guest is 2nd fiddle.

Great location. Very comfortable accommodations. I'd give it five stars but they don't offer room service nor was there a mini bar in the room. Also, the restaurant closes pretty early. They have morning coffee/tea service as well as a cocktail hour but we never took advantage of either because we were too busy exploring the city. The room is nicely appointed and a good size. The bathroom was amazing. The beds are comfortable and the staff is nice. The room was very quiet especially considering it is right in the heart of downtown. There is a church next door and we did hear the bells at 9 am but really nothing much else. I'd consider staying here again but will probably find a place with room service and a restaurant that stays open later.

Good location. No NBC in the room so couldn't watch the Steelers game. The room and entire hotel was very cold. We couldn't turn the heat on in the room as it was locked to cooling mode. Mentioned this when checking out and got no explanation or reaction from the staff.

WOW this hotel exceeded all of my expectations BY FAR. The front desk upgraded us on a Monday night to this amazing SUITE on the 6th floor. Holy moly, the suite was an enormous living room, a huge hallway, enormous bathroom with soaking tub and spa shower, and a gigantic beautiful bedroom with a king sized bed. It was christmastime so there were christmas trees in the living room and bedroom, and everything was decorated with lights and ornaments. It was seriously just jaw-droppingly beautiful. Then we went to happy hour and the young man serving happy hour was just the most delightful human being ever, and he made this delicious hot cider with whiskey and cinnamon. The front desk staff was superb, just honestly, I stay in a lot of hotels and I stay at a lot of IHG hotels (points) and therefore, I stay at a number of Kimptons, and this one just honestly blew me away. We had an incredible stay and we'll absolutely be back to stay at this same Kimpton next time we're in Pittsburgh.
