Pittsburgh has several great locally owned fabric stores, but loom definitely has a place of honor. The owner of the shop is one of the nicest people you will meet and they have a buttons and trim collection that will dazzle. While they do not stock as much apparel fabric as either firecracker or the fabric place, their home decor selection cannot be beat. They also have a decent selection of quilting cottons and a curated array of vintage goods. I love going here just to look around and when I finally had a home decor project to work on I was delighted to have a reason to buy from loom. Definitely a can't miss for any Pittsburgh sewist or interior designer!

I had not been to Loom since they moved to their new location upstairs on 22nd street. It was not disappointing! I had so much fun exploring all the special things they curate for the shop. My daughter and son were with me and they found some wonderful things too. Thank you to the staff for being so helpful and enthusiastic.

John is absolutely wonderful and accommodating. He went above and beyond to help me with what I was looking for. It’s a beautiful shop with unique patterns and various tools, some of which are old school. Highly recommend!

As of September 2022, you need to give them a call to get in. I had some idea what I was looking for and John helped me find something that should work perfectly. Well organized, lovely selection, and wonderful customer service.

I was looking to buy some outdoor fabric and Loom came up on my search. Despite living 15 blocks from here I had never heard of it. I was looking at fabrics online and not sure what I wanted, but a quick call with John (who was able to look at the fabrics in person on my behalf) and we selected the perfect print. I was able to pay over the phone and stopped by a few hours later to pick it up, so easy! The prices were comparable to what you would pay at Joanns, but with the bonus of shopping local. Will definitely come back the next time I need fabric!

I made an online purchase from loom and I'm super pleased.The photos and measurements were accurate and the business owner was a great communicator.I like the fact that they offered the smaller cuts of fabric.I was able to get a tremendous variety.The fabric selection is incredible.I live in Louisville Kentucky.I wsh we had a place like this locally.
