About Mellon Spray Park
Mellon Spray Park is a fun park and a great spot near Shady Side. It is one of the best parks in the area with a beautiful vibe during summers when kids play in the water. It features a spray park and water play area, plus a decent playground with lots of safe apparatus for kids of varying ages and skills. There is plenty of open space to run, play ball, or hike, along with a basketball court and baseball field. A fence around most of the playground provides peace of mind. There are benches and restrooms, though the restrooms can sometimes be a complaint regarding cleanliness and working stalls. Usually not too packed, it is a nice choice for families. Free off-street parking spots are available. It is right across the street from the main Mellon Park area, a beautiful park with lots of community events. Sometimes a snack guy is there with hot food and drinks.

I dont really partake in the water feature my self , but its allways packed with kids , morn- sundown when the park closes. Its free for all, and the surrounding parks are nice to picnic and rest on the huge grassy areas, I personally like to sit on a bench or grass reading or drawing.

I love this park. It's not super big but it has a good amount of swings and different types too for different people. I love the fact that this place also has public bathrooms and ways to stay cool for the kids.

Play area appears well kept but better restroom facilities needed.
Kids enjoy the playground and spray park but gets over crowded at times.
Limited parking at times and vehicles are double parked on the street, as well as, parked illegally; makung it difficult to get in and out.
