Stamoolis Brothers Co. is a fantastic Mediterranean market in Pittsburgh’s Strip District, a family tradition since 1909. It is by far a favorite store, with a vast selection of Greek, Italian, and Middle Eastern foods. The store offers great imports like cheeses, olives, oils, baklava, pastries, spreads, gyro, stuffed grape leaves, pistachios, chocolate bars, and more, with super low prices. The customer service in the deli and cheese area is great, and the family that runs the store is nice. It is easy to pick and go without a long line. The store opens at 8 AM but is closed on Sundays. It is a must-visit for healthy food and items perfect for charcuterie boards.
I can't say enough good things about Stamoolis Brothers! They are always my go-to for the best Greek ingredients, spices, cheeses, olives, pastas and bulk grains, like bulgar wheat. This time I managed to keep it under $100....

I would drive around the Strip District 7 times until I found a parking spot just to purchase their wedding soup meatballs ~ all beef, frozen, ready to use and truly reminiscent of the ones Nonna made by hand.
