We stopped in Pittsburgh during our road trip from Toronto to Charleston, SC and stayed at The Priory Hotel on Tuesday, March 12, 2024.We hadn't booked a hotel when we left home, just because we never know how far we're going to be able to drive. Sometimes we get tired sooner rather than later...and other times, we end up pushing through for a few more hours. So, we try not to book and book on the way. This is what we did this time too. We called The Priory and told them we'd be arriving by midnight and if they had a room for us. Thankfully, they had a King room, so we booked it on the spot.Parking is very convenient. Just across the street and is included in your stay...as is a cute little takeaway breakfast the next morning. The check-in process was very easy and quick. Our room was extremely clean and spacious. They've done a lovely job of restoring this beautiful old building into large rooms that are very comfortable and convenient. The next morning, we went to pick up our takeaway breakfast and were back on the road for the rest of our trip. We'll definitely be staying at The Priory Hotel any time we're in the area or even passing through. Highly recommend!

Found a camera disguised as a coat hook in the bathroom of my hotel room pointed at the toilet!I was there in 2017 and as I was going to the restroom in my hotel room, I noticed a coat hook suspensiously placed near the toilet. I opened it up, and it was a camera disguised as a coat hook! LOOK FOR ANY WERID OBJECTS NEAR THE BATHROOM UNLESS YOU WANT SOME CREAPO SPYING ON YOU!

Rooms are nice but small. Showers are small. Beds are horrible. Not comfortable at all. Queen is not a queen. It's a full. The hotel it's self is nice. Their event/ banquet/hall is very nice.Rooms: Rooms are nice. But the beds are horrible. Got no sleep at all. They advertise the bed as a queen but they are actually a full. Average size rooms are small. Shower has no room.

My husband and I spent Valentine's Day 2014 at The Priory Hotel. From the second we walked in the door we felt the charm and ambiance. The staff was unbelievably friendly and helpful, our room was gorgeous, and the entire place was spotless. Free parking. We could NOT have asked for more. 5 Stars!

Our experience was so overwhelmingly positive. The room was clean and comfortable. We had a nice view of downtown, and the afternoon sunlight lit up our room. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed sitting in front of the fireplace and just chatting. I wish we had had time to get drinks in the cute little bar. We would absolutely stay there again!

When I entered the beautiful building I was immediately greeted by an incredibly friendly staff member who got us into our rooms super quickly and answered our questions about the area. The room. Is. Gorgeous! The bed was incredibly comfortable, honestly some of the best hotel sleep I’ve ever gotten. The road noise was very minimal. Parking was easy with a gated lot just across the street. This is a wonderful hotel and very reasonably priced, especially considering that it’s a quick 15 minute walk from both stadiums! They offer a shuttle to games every fifteen minutes too if you don’t want to walk. If I ever find myself in Pittsburgh again, I’ll be back.

If you want an amazing experience combining old world charm and intimacy with top notch amenities, book a room at the Priory Hotel! I couldn’t say more about the friendly and accommodating staff who went out of their way to welcome me and all of my family. The rooms were immaculate with comfortable beds and updated bathrooms. I loved the nostalgic atmosphere with antiques and beautiful woodwork throughout. The butler’s pantry off the refectory is worth a look, if only to see the original tile work! And the courtyard is such a serene place to relax after a busy day! Shuttle service and included breakfast topped off a great stay! The location is within walking distance to downtown Pittsburgh with its many attractions as well as the stadiums. The neighborhood is being gentrified but I felt perfectly safe walking throughout the area during the day. I highly recommend this unique hotel!

I stayed at the Priory for my wedding weekend and could not have been happier with the experience! All of our guests have been raving about The Priory. The hotel itself was beautiful. It has old world, historic charm with modern touches. The beds were very comfortable, and the rooms were impeccably clean. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. So few hotels offer breakfast anymore, so breakfast in the refectory was a treat. We frequented the Monks Bar, which was a cute space with delicious cocktails. The location of the Priory was also perfect for us, as it was so close to attractions like the Andy Warhol museum and PNC Park and Acrisure Stadium. The front desk staff had great recommendations for our guests on things to do in the area, and they all raved about the free shuttle! Our stay at the Priory was so different (and better) than any stay at the typical chain hotels, and we’re so glad we chose it for our wedding weekend! We can’t wait to come back!Rooms: The rooms were newly renovated with a mix of old world luxury and modern amenities.Nearby activities: The Priory is very close to the North Shore where PNC Park and Heinz Field are located. It’s also a short drive to the Strip District for great food and nightlife.Safety: I felt totally safe here!Walkability: The Priory was a short walk from PNC Park, the Warhol Museum, and Heinz Field. There are also a few great restaurants and coffee shops a few blocks away.Food & drinks: The Monks Bar was perfect for a drink before dinner! The cocktail menu was a mix of inventive recipes and classics. The space was comfortable and beautifully done.

Stayed for just one night for theater show. Just a wonderful hotel. Character galore. Staff was very friendly. Rooms were clean and cozy. We didn’t have time to really explore the building and grounds but we will go back sometime and do that.

Hotel is fine, rooms are big, clean with comfy beds, you can feel the history of the place. But the breakfast, come on. Its awful. You have to be joking, the food was terrible. Older fruit, sh.tty sandwich and in the paper box?You can do much better.
