Trundle Manor offers a unique and creepy experience through guided tours of a private collection in a private home in Pittsburgh. Visitors must schedule appointments in advance and can explore the eccentric displays, including things in jars, crypto taxidermy, wild sculptures, and artwork created by the residents. The collection reflects the personalities of Velda Von Minx and Mr. Arm, who are known for their friendliness and knowledge. The tours are about 30 minutes long and provide plenty of stories about the bizarre items, which include old medical tools, miniatures, and art that has a spooky or whimsical vibe. Visitors are encouraged to take photos and can purchase souvenirs at the end of the tour. The atmosphere is both creepy and fun, with a strong artistic flair reminiscent of the Addams Family, cyberpunk, and vintage decor. Since it is someone’s private collection, guests are asked to donate money or bring a whimsical or creepy item. Parking is street-only, and visitors are asked to respect the privacy of the home by not ringing the doorbell before their exact appointment time. Overall, Trundle Manor is a quirky, artistic place filled with strange artifacts and stories, perfect for those interested in oddities, taxidermy, art, and a touch of the bizarre.
A VERY entertaining tour by a great hostess. Would be an easy 5 stars if not for the steep stairs and broken railing that was difficult for my wife and I with our bad knees. With their obvious mechanical skills, it doesn’t seem like it would be all that hard to fix the railing.
