MAKE SURE YOU TAKE A PICTURE/ VIDEO OF THE VEHICLE DASHBOARD ON THE DAY YOU RENT AND ON THE DAY YOU RETURN THE VEHICLE as the MANAGER and 2 other employees are the crooks they will falsely charge you extra $100+ fueling fee make it look like you brought the vehicle back completely empty without any fuel in it, it’s not the first time they done this so make sure you have video proof as well.Also make sure before you take the car do a video walk around the vehicle as all of them have some sort of damage the staff won’t come out they will just tell you the car is out front waiting with the keys in it and if you didn’t purchase the insurance from them they will blame you for the pre existing damage

I would like to express my greatest gratitude to the three gentleman who were working at the location of 3000 Liberty Ave Pittsburgh, PA on December 30th, for their kindness. They were kind, caring and compassionate. I was dealing with a family crisis and they did not hesitate to help me solve my issue regarding a Uhaul trailer to a truck. I am forever thankful for them. Very easy access and entrance. Use of rolling carts for free. Everything is labeled with direction arrows, ie- elevator, restrooms, exit, etc... SPOTLESSLY clean location.

The prices are ok I rented a large truck to move from another state and price was around 700 dollars but I was able to keep the truck for 4 days also first month storage was free but you have to put a card on file in case your over 1 month storage. The building on liberty ave in Pittsburgh pa was clean and well lit. Worker’s was very helpful.

My past experience with Uhaul in Pittsburgh area has been good. But I recently had an unpleasant experience here.I booked a 10' truck to be picked up after hours on Saturday night. I went there at 7 and followed instructions to pick up the truck on using uhaul app.After I get in the truck, I tried to start the truck without success. The engine wouldn't start and it says "Service Deterrence System" on the dash board. Then I called uhaul customer service. After 15 mins wait, I spoke to someone, who suggests that I should talk to roadside assistant. After another 15 min wait, I talked to a roadside assistant receptionist, who is in fact very helpful. She talked to a mechanic and told me that it's most likely that the battery is dead and she can send someone to replace the battery. I told her that I do not want to wait that long since I do not have to pick up the truck that night. I can pick up on Sunday morning instead. I first asked her to check if there are other trucks that I can take, if not just cancel my reservation so that I do not pay for it. She checked and only found larger trucks which I do not need. She then told me that I have to contact another line to cancel. Then I called that line. Then I entered a pipeline of waiting and transfering: 15 min wait - transfer to sales - 15 mins wait - transfer to customer service - 15 min wait - transfer to uhaul 24-7.Uhaul 24-7 turns out to the right place to solve the issue, except that their system wasn't functioning that night. The lady on that line told me that I can just put back the key and leave. She will handle if once the system is working, which she did. (Back to this later.)On Sunday morning, I came to the shop, and got another truck, which worked fine. I asked for a refund for last night's reservation and they issued it to me with no problem. At noon, I got a phone call from the shop, saying that I opened a customer dispute (or something like that) for the reservation on Saturday night. I didn't but I figure that the lady from uhaul 24-7 did it for me, after her system gets back to working.So I told the person from the shop that I have been refunded already. Since I noticed that uhaul promises that uhaul will pay me 50 dollars if the truck is not there for pick-up, I asked her if I can get that 50 dollars. She told me that truck is fine and functional, so they cannot pay me 50 dollars. This is the part that upsets me that pushes me to write this review, since it's apparently a lie. She said this so confidently and naturally that I was convinced on the spot. I do not care about 50 dollars, but feel offended that she lies to my face (on a phone call).She told me that the truck didn't start because I didn't turn the key all the way down. I told her what I saw on the screen. She told me, yes that's what it displays on the screen when I fail to turn the key all the way down. But I was on the phone Saturday night with roadside asistant for 30 minutes, who looked into that code that told me it's most likely a battery issue. I of course know how much to turn the key. Otherwise, how could I start the truck I got on Sunday?She then told me that that very truck that I cannot start on Saturday night has already been rented to another person, and is operating fine. This is another lie. When I came back on Sunday next to return the second truck, I saw that very truck that cannot start being at the exact spot that I left it, without moving a hair.I must say that other than the lie, everything else was fine. I will rent with uhaul from this location in the future, probably not when it's closed. But I just feel very offended to be lied against, for such a small amount of money.

I had an issue with my truck because the location left a lock on it, which cut into my reservation time. It was very frustrating. HOWEVER, I was able to work with Candy, a customer service agent at UHaul, who was absolutely phenomenal. Through our frustration she went above and beyond to help us out, including: FaceTime, FaceTiming the manager, etc. She was really a silver lining to a very aggravating experience. Thank you Candy!!!

Parking lot was clean. Truck was clean. Dumpsters on site. Professional staff - what more can you ask for when moving is so hard? Thanks to Brianna for taking good care of us on a day that stunk otherwise.

I called day before my move for confirmation for renting a U-Haul that I reserved a week prior . I was told that I can pick up the truck at 7 am even though I mentioned app listed 9 am; I even called a second time for verification and reassurance as I had an 8 hour drive w my move and I was reassured again and told when I show on site U-Haul app will give me an option and key would be in lockbox on truck for me. Anyway 7 am next morning next morning cannot pull out truck; I called U-Haul and they tried to send me across town and told me they made a new reservation different and they never actually did. Anyway had to come back here at 9 am and was delayed another 45 minutes as another individual had taken truck I'd reserved for 7 am. All this while stressing that I'd hired 2 movers and was paying for time I didn't have a truck and then another 3 hours of my time wasted being told I'll be able to get refund for my movers which was $100/hr and long story short after manager would call me and a case manager would follow up after 72 hours, nothing was done, totally wasted my time. No manager and nobody bothered to call me. And I was given no refund even though I pointed U-Haul to time and date I made call and was told Is be given access to truck before site opens.Anyway if you have a tight moving schedule and a long move ahead, this isn't the place to rent unless you're not worried about losing money by hiring hourly movers and don't have a long drive w your move. Basically expect hours delay with your truck and you'll be good. maybe pick it up day before. Anyway just a fair warning: It felt like wasted energy and stress on a long moving day that's stressful in of itself because this U-Haul site gave me false reassurance

I reserved truck for Friday evening. Showed up in time. They didn't have it. Sent me to liberty Ave. They gave me truck with loose steering I wasn't sure if I was going to make it but thanks God I returned truck and safe. I hope they will take better care about trucks because someone can die because of poor maintenance. Not recommended for my friends.

Absolutely worthless staffing. Refused to check me in for my rental saying I had to use the app when the app was down. Then continued to argue with me. Wasted an hour of my day. 3 people running the counter all too lazy to do their Job.
