SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE DONT RENT FROM THEM.It has been a nightmare from the moment I booked with them. 1 year ago, I scheduled the empty packrat and movers to load my stuff into. I hired movers for that day. Packrat did not arrive for the entire day so I lost money with the movers who wanted pay eventhough the container didnt show up and they didn't move anything. Packrat didn't show for two days later. Loaded packrat and waited for them to pick up my unit. It was left at my old apt. Complex for over a week with my belongings in it. The apt complex kept threatening to tow it. They finally picked it up. Finally it went to a storage facility. Ordered pack rat on 9/29/23 to unload into my storage bin and told them 3 times to come around 930 when the storage facility opened, the driver called at 7am to see he would be at facility. When I told him again the facility would not be open I was put towards the back of the list for drop-off despite paying for priority. Finally get the container and see my lock had been sawed off. Very angry that my lock which was securing my stuff had been cut off prior to being returned to me. The company is unwilling to compensate for this breech in security. It has been problems at every turn. I will never again in life rent from them.

They promised me my container would take no longer than 10 days to get delivered to my new address. I’m now on 3 weeks and I still don’t have it. My family and I are living off minimal clothing, fast food, and air mattresses waiting for this thing to arrive. I have to call every day for an update just for them to delay me with multiple excuses. They also told me the long distance move would cost $7200 and they charged my card $7900? What a joke. Never again. Would of been better off renting a uhaul and doing it myself.

1800 packrat is the absolute worst company I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. From 45 min hold times, scheduling a call back and then on hold for another 25 mins anyway after they call back! Missed 3 delivery dates already and I'm terrified of how my things will arrive, if they ever do. This company should be shut down

It’s been a bad experience from the start. Over an hour wait on the phone for customer service, then you get disconnected. They don’t show up when they say they will, then say that it’s because they are “behind”. Right now I just really want this thing out of here, and it’s not happening. Would never recommend this company. Pay more- it’s not worth the aggravation.

We had a delivery scheduled for today (8/21/23) and they called us at 3:30pm telling us they couldn’t make the delivery now. We had taken off from work for this delivery and they made no effort to accommodate us. Horrible customer service.

This company is absolutely useless. I needed to be out of my apartment on July 19, and had scheduled the unit to be delivered on July 17. They bumped my delivery day twice which then resulted in the unit being delivered on July 19 at 4PM the day I needed to be moved out. Insane. Then, the unit was to be moved on July 22 to my new home. I waited all day on the 22 with no response. I was then contacted by the driver at 6PM that he no longer was willing to deliver that day and wanted to go home, even though they deliver up until 10PM. The unit was finally delivered on the 22 at 5PM, which then caused me to have no furniture at my first night in my new home. I then was to have the empty unit picked up on August 16 between 9AM-2PM in which I got bumped. The timeframe then got moved from 1-5PM and then from 6-8PM. The unit did not get picked up on the 16th. I have contacted customer service over 25 times and they're extremely helpful, but unfortunately it's the manager at the facility, Kristina, who can't manage to get the companies priorities straight and contact the customer services representatives back. I've contacted her directly nearly 10 times, with one text response back. At this point in time I'm currently making arrangements for the unit to be towed off of my property. Avoid the nightmare and go with a different service.

I have never been more disappointed in a company than I have been with 1-800-PACK-RAT. It's very unprofessionally run and has complete disregard of customer. My container was scheduled to be delivered on July 28. I scheduled the delivery well in advance which was 7-10 days before delivery as stipulated by them and got movers to help us with the unloading. On the day of delivery, it got rescheduled to July 31. Customer service told me that there is a shortage of drivers but it will get delivered on July 31. The delivery is being moved everyday to the next day ever since. I do not know when will I receive my container at this point. I am not sure if they even have my container anymore or have lost it or damaged it. There is an utter lack of respect and consideration of the customer's time and money spent, forget customer experience. Unfortunately the sad part of the situation is that I do not have any avenues to find out when will my container be actually delivered. The Customer service number has wait times of north of an hour and you still don't get anyone on the phone. No one is responding to chat or email messages sent. Please DO NOT use 1-800-PACK-RAT for your moving needs. They are very communicative on the front end to lure you in and also commit to a price match with PODS but after that they just hang you out to dry. I am not sure if it is just a PA problem or a nationwide problem but an experience like this does make you wonder if this is a widespread issue with this company.

If I could leave a zero a star review I would! We were supposed to have a unit delivered on Tuesday. The company did NOT show was a NO CALL NO SHOW! My wife called and they said they missed us. Could not redeliver on Wednesday after a days worth of work was missed. Supposedly going to deliver on Thursday, they gave a window of delivery and AGAIN DID NOT SHOW. According to a manager at the escalation center we were a priority. A priority that was schedule between 12-4 on Friday. When we called at 430 on Friday the customer service rep was extremely rude said we called too soon. Then we were told they were coming between 5-8pm. When my husband called after missing a half day of work, they then told us it was canceled for the day for no reason for cancelation. The irony of the situation is that my wife and husband talked TO THE SAME PERSON AT THE ESCALTION DEPARTMENT! That person then said they could not schedule a delivery because the faculty was over booked!! As business owner ourselves. It is ridiculous to be treated the way we have been with no help. DO NOT USE PACK RAT NO MATTER WHAT. WE called a smaller company out of Delaware and will have a unit in the AM on a Saturday. Stick with small local businesses they will always treat you better.

They were supposed to deliver my pod 4 days ago and still have not shown up. The call center reps are useless and just say the driver is on their way. Call center supervisors have been calling the facility and NO ONE ANSWERS. DO NOT use pack rat and if you do PLEASE GOD don’t move to PA with them.

Horrible experience, would not recommend. Any time you call it's at least an hour hold time. They never delivered my container. I called three times the day of my delivery and they kept telling me my delivery window was later and later. When I talked to someone at 8:30 p.m. they assured me that it would still be coming. What a joke, it never came. Will not use them, will not recommend

I paid in full for my long distance move when they picked up my box. They will not deliver my box, nor answer/return any of my phone calls asking where my stuff is. I have been weeks without it now. I am beyond frustrated and will never be using PACKRAT again.

I wish I would have read the already bad reviews that were posted on google before we chose 1-800-pack-rat over Pod. We got a pack rat delivered to our house in January with no problems. Of course there were no problems with how we were billed each month either. Then come June it was time to move our pack rat to our new house. My husband paid extra to have it moved in the AM on a Thursday and it ended up being dropped off at 4pm. We had scheduled the pack rat to be picked up the following day (Friday) so we could have the space in our driveway for a u-haul that was coming the next day. Well of course that didn’t happen and we are still waiting for it to be taken out of our driveway (5 days later). My husband has called multiple times and the wait times to talk to a representative were over 30 minutes. Spend the extra $10 a month and go with Pod instead.

Missed my container drop-off date even though they confirmed twice that they would deliver on a specific date. Ended up losing several hundred dollars because I had to rent a truck at the last minute. You're better off paying more and using a competitor.

Don't use this container company for moving unless you are okay with your container being delayed several days.
