“The employees at this location were exceptionally kind, attentive, and professional from the moment we walked in. I was especially impressed with how efficient and composed our cashier was. While we were waiting in line, there was a gentleman loudly complaining about the pace of the checkout process, as if he were the only customer in the entire store and the staff, or better yet the WORLD, should somehow bend time to accommodate him.
Despite his negativity, the woman working the register handled the situation with remarkable patience, courtesy, and professionalism. The way she maintained her composure and treated him with respect was genuinely jaw-dropping; I can say with absolute honesty that I wouldn’t have had the patience she demonstrated. She truly embodied what great customer service looks like!!!
Beyond the outstanding staff, the store itself was clean, organized, and easy to navigate. Shelves were well-stocked and there were so many bargains that made it hard to *only* get what we came for. Every visit feels like a grocery surprise haul, and the experience with their staff only made us appreciate Ollie’s even more.

“Ollies is great, you can find some great deals. You gotta know your prices and your products though. Sometimes there are better deals to be had out there. I’ve done it myself. Bought something that I later found for a cheaper price or found out what I bought was not exactly what I thought it was. Cashiers are always nice and friendly, that’s a plus. There discount club is tough to beat! 15% off your cart multiple times a year. Make sure if you’re buying flooring you’ve bought enough cuz when it’s gone it’s gone.”
“They have a really good meat department. Some of the sales can't be beat, $1.99 a pound chicken wings and pork chops but there's some regular groceries they are missing. Do all my meat shopping here but regular groceries at Aldi's”
“This store has a good variety of quick grab foods and housewares. It is an easy turn off of rts 7/62 for quick shopping. They also have eggs, bread and off brands. Still new, so not too busy.”
“Love this place. Great stuff for amazingly cheap and you can buy in bulk. Not to mention i love the mystery boxes. Just to bad they are always sold out before i get one of the electronic ones. 10/10 highly recommend”

“Good place to make a quick stop at for milk, or toilet paper or whatever it might be instead of having to go into town. The is a lot more dollar general's on the east coast then the west coast.”

“The workers are always so helpful and so nice. If you need anything they will try to help you find it or even put it in your car/truck. The crew is the best!!! They work so hard i always feel bad having them stop stocking or doing whatever they are doing to check me out but also greatful they do cause they are so friendly and kind no matter what. “This is probably my favorite Dollar General in and around my city. I think the employees are very friendly and helpful at all of the Dollar General stores, but it is the location that I like best. Also, I believe this is a new store. Many of the locations use buildings that were already there from other businesses closing, but this building was a new build and it shows. Very nice place.”

“Just like any other D.G. store as far as merchandize but this one (Croton ave) is very clean and have friendly workers and every time I go there isn't a bunch of people in there which helps with my anxiety. I'd recommend going to this one before any other one in New Castle, Pa.”

“I stopped shopping here about a year ago, it was just dirty cramped, and the workers were always standing around doing nothing. I recently started shopping there again because the manager that’s there now seems to have everybody on track. The store is CLEAN, shelves stocked and if you ask for help form the manager she actually comes to help unlike management before.”
“I had such a lovely experience at Dollar General thanks to Salem! I was wandering the aisles, trying to figure out what I needed for a last-minute dinner (grandkids decided to stop in on me last minute ha!) when I realized I’d forgotten my reading glasses in the car. This lovely young lady came right up and asked if I needed help, and let me tell you, she was a lifesaver! So kind and patient, she helped me find everything on my list. It’s rare to find such good customer service these days.”

“This dollar general is one of the good ones. Friendly employees but I do have to give a shoutout to the very pretty and nice girl working the register. Her name is Bri, I went in there one day trying to load money on my card and she was very helpful about it, gave me some recommendations, yesterday I went in there to just buy something for dinner and she remembered me, we talked for a little bit and I had told her that one day she is off she needs to order something at bills (on account of I work there and she remembers my bills shirt I had on ?) she is a very helpful, pretty, and hard working lady. Somebody give that girl a raise!! ?”

I would like to know why the hostess cakes and donuts for this particular store are always out. And what's there,. The undesirables nobody buys are stale and hard. I have gone to 4 other dollar General stores around and every one is packed with fresh hostess pastries and cupcakes) hohos you name it. Very fresh too. Why can't the store on Addison road be like the rest and get reliable delivery personal with fresh pastries. Can't be all that hard.”
