“I went to the one on Lancaster Avenue it was very clean the instrument section was why I went in there and they have a good selection of used guitars the gentleman that I spoke to was very nice and seemed honest I've been to most of the pawn shops in the area and I'd would say this is the best one if your looking to buy a nice guitar at a decent price”

“I was pleasantly surprised when I went into the Penn St location of Pawn Plus. I hadn’t been here in about 10 years. I was lucky to have a friend ask me to take her here the other day. There are several nice tools that were mostly all reasonably priced. The price on the white sticker is then marked down if there’s a discount tag on it. I took pictures and returned with my husband and had the pleasure of meeting Ray. He was the nicest and most helpful employee that I had ever dealt with there in all of the years that I had shopped there, years ago. Ray helped us out and gave us information about our purchase. He acted with complete subtly when my card had been declined due to my forgetting to transfer money to the account that my card is on. Due to the situation, I wasn’t embarrassed, but should it have not been my forgetfulness that caused the declination, I would have definitely appreciated him being discreet. In addition to hiring such a helpful employee, the store was very clean and no longer deafeningly loud. This is the perfect place to come to buy used tools. You have 48 hrs to return them if they don’t work so try them out ASAP.

Since everyone seems to be commenting on other reviews, I decided to vent a bit of frustration on 2 of the 3, that I read.

Reviewer Tio, Pawn Plus DOES require ID for the 1st time that a customer brings an item in, as it seems that you already know. The clerk probably recognized the woman asking if her ID was needed for another transaction in which she’s bringing items to the store.

To any reviewer that’s posting about seeing their own items there at the store, staff can’t do anything. You MUST contact the police and make a statement. Bring proof of that exact item being yours. Then, the police will contact Pawn Plus and get the information on the seller. Seller information is private and protected, as it should be. They have no idea if you’re telling the truth or not and won’t put people’s lives in danger. I have no connection to this store, other than being a customer returning after 10 years. This is all common sense. And, by all means, watch who you let in your homes!”

“Lookin for an easy, comfortable environment to do business in? This is the place. Their owner is friendly, personable, and makes you feel informed before purchasing goods. Shop here for the best deals, I got a 4TB Samsung SSD for more than 50% off (granted I haven’t tested it yet to confirm legitimacy, if you’re still reading this review then I can confidently say this is a flawless place to do business).”

“I love this place so much. they have game discs/cartridges for LOTS of systems. a butt load of CDs. (though not that big of a selection), a few cassettes, VHS, and lots of new and old tech. they are basically the go to place for physical media. did I mention that the cds, VHS, and cassettes are 25 CENTS? plus the staff are super nice.”
