The South Side Farmers Market offers a diverse selection of fresh and locally-sourced products. Visitors can find an array of baked goods, including sourdough bread and gluten-free items, as well as freshly roasted coffee, handmade mushroom tinctures and balms, and a variety of micro greens. The market also features fresh pork and other meats, along with honey, candles, and cookies. Vendors set up for free, and the market accepts food stamps, with the added perk of UNC doubling bucks up to $10. Customers particularly enjoy the friendly atmosphere and quality of products from vendors like Matson's Mushrooms, Fuller's Overlook Farm, and Beta Bread. The market is held indoors during colder months at 503 Cedar Ave, with hours from 10 am to 1 pm. While the selection may be smaller, the few vendors offer high-quality, organic produce and products worth the visit.
I got fresh cranberry bread, wine, kielbasa, and honey. Santa was giving cookies. Nice people. There was candles and cookies, and candy. More things than I could list.

Love that you can use food stamps at the market and UNC will also "double your bucks" up to $10, a nice little perk for food stamp users. I love the selection of vendors and their items. Our favorites are Matson's Mushrooms, Fuller's Overlook Farm, and Beta Bread. Visit every weekend and am never disappointed.
