“I recently visited this hardware store and had a very positive experience from start to finish. The store was clean, well organized, and easy to navigate, making it simple to find the tools and materials I needed. The aisles were clearly labeled, and products were neatly arranged, which made the shopping process smooth and efficient.
The variety of products available was impressive. The store offered hand tools, power tools, plumbing supplies, electrical items, paint, fasteners, and general home improvement materials. I especially appreciated the wide selection and availability of both basic and professional-grade equipment.
The staff members were friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful throughout my visit. They quickly understood what I needed, guided me to the right products, and explained usage and compatibility clearly. Their technical knowledge and supportive attitude made the experience much easier.

“Great little local hardware store. This is what I remember when I a kid, was going with my father to the hardware, it was exactly like Woodbury Hardware. A small store with a few isles, that had everything and anything you needed to fix this or build that. Family owned, knowledgeable, and very friendly. You don't have to buy a box of screws and nuts you don't need, just what you need. And, they fix screens! Nobody does that anymore. I try to support them whenever I can.”

“Fairmount Hardware is a neighborhood institution, with good reason. Dave, the owner, goes out of his way to help non-professionals with their projects, large and small. He wired a lamp for me, he also cut glass to put in a frame I had, saving me the expense of having a framer do it.
I think he tries to impart to the young people he hires to work in the hardware store as much of his wisdom as possible. Yesterday, he instructed a young trainee as to how to remove a bit of rust on a porcelain plaque I brought in.
Today, another trainee made a great suggestion as to how I might attach the plaque to a Target basket with wingbolt nuts and butterfly screws, rather than the furniture nails I’d bought the day before.
The clerk at the cash register gave me a credit for the unused furniture nails I had bought the day before and deducted the cost of the two wingbolt nut and screws —you cannot get better service than that anywhere.

“Always a pleasant encounter at Upper Darby Hardware. The staff is helpful with both service and suggestions for alternative solutions. Prices are often lower than the chain home improvement centers. Handicapped parking can be a challenge as there are limited spaces directly in front of the store.”

“Great Rental Service. I rented two machines from Diamond Tool- A 60 foot boom lift then later a 32 ft scissor lift. Both machines worked great and got the job done safely and efficiently. No hidden fees and the sales staff are very friendly and reasonable. Pick Diamond Tool over the other big chain rental companies! I worked with Rob and the salesman CJ and they were great!”
“Great local hardware store, with a good selection of paint colors to choose from. I stopped by just for paint, and the employee who helped me was very nice. I appreciated not being overly talked to, and he was quick with getting my paint all mixed together. It's nice to have a store in the neighborhood that's easy to walk to.”
