“My husband and I moved to Shippensburg PA about 2 1/2 years ago. My husband shopped around different shops looking for a mechanic to work on both our vehicles, needing repair and Inspections. We have taken our vehicles to Cooks numerous times and found they are by far the best auto shop. The mechanics know their vehicles. Always let us know what needs to be done and does an EXCELLENT job on fixing repairs. We have never or will ever look anywhere else for an auto repair mechanic. Simply the best family owned business. We had to have our SUV fixed (sway bar) and the battery was dead in our other car. They dropped my husband off at the house and picked him up once the SUV was fixed, what wonderful service!. Couldn’t thank the business enough for that. Also, my husband is a Veteran and they DO offer Veterans discounts. Keep up the great work! PS you’re gonna fall in love with the greeter lol….. their beautiful Cane Corso. The Stackhouse’s”

“I recently had the pleasure of dealing with Ronnie Hardy, General Sales Manager, at Shively Motors of Shippensburg. As executrix of a relative's estate, I inquired about selling their vehicle. Ronnie gave me a very fair quote...no haggling or brow-beating. Ronnie was compassionate and understanding and even offered to give me some time to think it over. I texted him 2 days later and he had the check ready and waiting for me when I arrived!
Originally, other people tried to convince me to use those online sites that begin with a C...well both ended up being a hassle and one wanted me to drive almost an hour away before even making me any kind of offer! The other C site refused to accept my legally binding short certificate as executrix! There was none of that with Shively's....they accepted my paperwork & handed me a check made out to the estate! We spent more time chatting than what the actual deal took. There's something to be said for dealing directly with people in our hometown!”

“SHOP IS A HIDDEN GEM!
My Mom went to Haiti for a few weeks and I’m a student at the college. My break light wouldn’t turn off causing a dead battery and without my mom I didn’t know what to do. A mechanic named John came to my rescue - come to find out he was the owner - didn’t even charge me for his services and explained I needed to drive the car for about 30 minutes after he fixed it to charge the battery! My mom is grateful and we will be back— thank you kindly!!”

Ps I can’t stress enough how nice folks were. I usually go to Chambersburg Walmart ( no auto center there) and everyone is always blah and customers are mean! Went shopping at the Ship Walmart after my car was fixed and everyone was NICE and kind. No rude ppl. No one strolling around sucking on chicken bones ( not even kidding!) or cutting you off with their cart. THIS is how a store should be! Hats off to the employees and the managers bec you are obviously doing the good stuff! It’s worth the extra 30 miles to go to this Walmart!”
