Over all I love living at BCC! Any issues my roommate and I had were fixed super quickly and with ease. Ellie and Mae are both amazing people that always ensure living in college town will be as comfortable as possible!

This complex is very nice - so glad our student is living here for the second year.. The 2 level townhomes are very nice, with renovated kitchens, flooring and furniture. It is a short walk to Giant or Weiss, a bowling alley, a community gym, several shopping centers, on a CATA bus route and about a mile from campus/downtown so a 25-30 minute walk. A community park adjoins the property complete with dog park. Maintenance requests are responded to and the resident portal allows easy communication with property management.

Don’t get fooled by all the 5 stars, they ask the tenants to write good reviews for a chance to win prizes. If you want to live in a good apartments, you should choose the Heights. If you are looking for a cheaper place, you should live at Alight. There’s also good options downtown. Let’s be honest here, you are paying 650-900$ a month because of utilities. The location is about 35 min walk from campus, but can be 10-20 min bus ride on a good day, or 20-35 min on a bad day. Commuting can get tiring after a while. This place has parking only for tenants which I don’t mind. However, people will bring their friends over who have cars and take up the slots so the parking lot ends up getting filled with no where to park for tenants. There are no amenities like a pool or gym, the only thing you get is a decent bus pass. Paying what you pay isn’t worth it. The management is basically run by Mae and the rest are college kids. Mae is very not particularly accommodating for any circumstances. The place is otherwise great, but I genuinely wished I lived downtown because there are places you could buy that cost around the same price. Also they make you try to get a new lease in October, or prices will go up. The thing is no one can really tell if they like the place until they live there for a year. Genuinely the rooms are great. But make sure you don’t leave a dent or scratch or even a shampoo stain on the carpet because they will charge you 70$+.

Super nice apartments, everyone is so friendly. The units are well kept and maintained. Ellie Dunn the property manager is great and extremely helpful with any questions and concerns you may have. Also blue course partners with PAWS and allows for fostering animals which we took part in and it has been truly an amazing experience.

Very nice apartments. Staff does a great job of making it feel like home and host many different activities for residents. Ellie Dunn, one of the property managers, has been extremely helpful with all of our needs. Would definitely recommend!

Blue Course Commons has already amazed me in a matter of days! This was the best move in experience in my 4 years of college. The staff made sure that I felt welcomed and had everything prepared that I needed. From filling out everything before hand and a clear guide of how move in would go, I felt super prepared. They also were available to answer any random questions I may have had and they all were so kind. I definitely would recommend this pet friendly, newly renovated, (free parking!!) amazing community.

Blue Course Commons is a great place to live off-campus. It's walking distance from multiple bus stops, the grocery store, and the Tom Tudek Memorial Park. It's also quiet and isolated unlike downtown!

I have lived at Blue Course for about a year now and resigned my lease for next year, it is a great place to live for off campus housing. The staff in the office are amazing, especially Ellie, they are extremely patient and understanding. The staff has been extremely welcoming to my two dogs that I have there, and my dogs always get super excited for a quick visit to the office. If you are looking for housing off campus that is a great distance to campus this is a great place for you.

I lived at Blue Course Commons for 1 year and I would definitely recommend living here. I lived in the 3 bedroom, 2 bath with the den and it was plenty of space for a really good price. Whenever we had a maintenance issue, this issue was always addressed quickly and for no additional cost. There are also several CATA bus stops nearby that are easy to get to and run pretty frequently to campus, and they provide a CATA bus pass which is nice. The only issues were that they raised the price of gas for the utilities starting in the new year and we were not notified that this price increase would happen. Also, they attempted to charge us at the end of the lease for normal wear and tear even though the lease agreement said we would not be charged for this. However, the pros really outweigh the cons and this is definitely one of the best student living options in State College.

This is a more isolated community, good for people who want a quieter and more open environment.Apartment was in poor condition when we first got it. Lot of dust, loose screws, cobwebs, etc. We also had a lot of bugs get in the first couple months. Charged unnecessarily for damages left behind by past residents (a stain that was worse before, requested to get cleaned last August, and couldn’t get cleaned further. Got charged for it being a different color than the original, which was a result of August’s cleaning). Dealt with numerous other issues that were not our fault, such as problems with getting warm water, drawer handles or desk pieces falling apart due to loose screws, etc. Sometimes service requests take a while to get to, sometimes they are quick. There were so many problems that I could not keep up with submitting all the service requests for everything since I did not have enough time. Management is really good, so that helped me get through my bad experience living in my unit. There are also community events from time to time.Overall, pretty sub-par but good management team.

As a parent, I am incredibly impressed with the customer service provided by Blue Course Commons…especially Ellie. From the start, she was incredibly responsive to both me and our two college-aged children. Ellie graciously answered all questions, whether immediately or as soon as possible, after some research. Plus, when there was an unforeseen issue, she was kind, professional, flexible, and went out of her way to resolve things to everyone’s satisfaction. Overall, it has been a terrific experience!

the quality oI recently had the displeasure of leasing a property at Blue Course Commons, and I can confidently say that it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. From the moment I moved in, it became apparent that this place was a nightmare.First and foremost, the management team at Blue Course Commons was utterly incompetent. It seemed like they had no clue what they were doing and couldn't handle even the simplest of requests. Whenever I had an issue or concern, it took days, sometimes even weeks, for them to respond, and even then, their solutions were half-hearted at best. The condition of the apartment itself was appalling. It was evident that no effort had been made to properly maintain or clean the unit before my arrival. The carpets were stained and worn out, the walls were chipped and marked, and the bathroom was infested with mold. Despite repeatedly reporting these issues, nothing was done to rectify them. It felt like living in a rundown, neglected place that no one cared about.Noise was also a significant problem at Blue Course Commons. The walls were paper-thin, allowing every sound from neighboring apartments to seep through. I could hear every conversation, every footstep, and even the slightest noise was magnified. It was impossible to find a moment of peace and quiet, making it incredibly frustrating to live there.Another major issue was the lack of security. The supposedly gated community was anything but secure. The gates were frequently broken, leaving the property accessible to anyone. I felt unsafe and vulnerable living there, especially considering the surrounding area was not the safest.f home is terrible, staffs are rude.Lastly, the price I paid for the apartment was completely unjustified. Given the terrible condition of the unit, the lack of maintenance, and the overall poor living experience, it was simply not worth the exorbitant rent I was charged. I expected better value for my hard-earned money, but Blue Course Commons failed to deliver. In conclusion, I strongly advise against considering Blue Course Commons as a place to live. The management is unprofessional, the apartments are poorly maintained, the noise levels are unbearable, the security is nonexistent, the amenities are subpar, and the rent is unreasonably high. Save yourself the headache and disappointment by looking elsewhere for a decent place to call home.

I absolutely love this place. Other than the price (and no guest parking) this has been the absolute best complex I’ve lived at during my time at penn state. The location is extremely convenient, plus the bus passes help out a lot. Each unit has their own little private patio which makes this place so much nicer than anywhere else. Maintenance is very quick and helpful and it’s extremely easy to get ahold of the staff as well. I love having the bedrooms upstairs, and the den is an added bonus I would never give up. On top of all the amazing perks of living here, the complex is secluded and quiet which makes it perfect for college students. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone who can afford it.

Blue Course Commons offers great housing at a comfortable distance from campus. In my time living here I have enjoyed and felt that the staff have always been exceptional, the give aways and events actively brings the community to engage and have fun! Having my own room is definitely my favorite part about living here because I'm able to study and feel at home within my own space. The amenities included such as a kitchen and washing room have also made living in State College so much easier while being away from home because I'm able to do so much with what is offered. Overall a good place to live in while being far from home definitely recommend it!
