“Started my f45 trip 07/2022. For someone who have never tried systematically training before, f45 is really a good start.Met with JR and Emily at the beginning and more friendly coaches join in now. I must say i cannot lost 10kg during 6 months without f45’s help. Even though I get back to where I started because holidays but I am confident to gain more muscles and lose fat from now on.Definitely 200 out of 100. Have already introduced one of my friend to join in and we really have a great time here. They offer challenges and inbody scans. This was also my reason to choose f45 at the very first time. They locate in downtown, close to classrooms. Truly convenient for me as a college students.”

“Great, small Planet Fitness gym with great staff who are friendly, sociable, and helpful. Everything is kept extremely clean, and usually isn’t absurdly busy even at peak hours. The renovated gyms on campus are nice but can get very crowded, very quickly, and this gym has a nice benefit of being open 24 hours on weekdays. Overall, much better experience than on-campus gyms.”

“I've enjoyed joining the dojo with my 9 year old son. I was looking for something active and skill building that we could do together. The family karate club was a good fit. They are welcoming and obviously dedicated to helping individuals and families have an enriching experience learning the art of karate. Highly recommend it to others.”

“This is my go-to gym in State College! To be honest, I've never been a fan of Planet Fitness. The ones I've been to in New York and Florida, I've never had the experience I wanted. Usually, it's not as clean as I like my gym spaces to be, amongst other things. As an avid recreational bodybuilder, I have very, very specific gym needs, the most important being a very clean space. That's what attracted me the most to this PF in downtown State College. As a fairly new facility, it is in excellent condition and is very well maintained. With State College being a college town, everywhere is usually ridden with students, which also is not one of my favorite things (although I am a student myself, haha). Unlike many of the other facilities, there is space to breathe and be in flow with my training without having to be constantly rushed and waiting to access equipment.I hate that there are no barbells and really heavy dumbbells, but the diversity of equipment meets most of my needs. When I need to do free heavy lifts (like squats, deadlifts, and benchpress), I'd usually just use another facility, probably once a week. But the joy of training I've felt at PF here is unmatched at any of the other gym facilities I've been to in State College.”

“It’s been my favorite gym so far in this town. I travel a lot so it is nice and very convenient to access any other gyms in the country. The staff is very friendly and approachable. The gym is always clean. This gym is never packed and there is always room to do my workouts and use the machines. I love going to this gym. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It is a 5 stars for me!”

“This gym is very good, with the potential to be a bit better. First, I'll start with the fact that the employees are great, nice, and very helpful. There's always plenty of staff around and they help make the members feel like a little community. Second, the amenities are endless. Not only is there a huge selection of equipment including dumbbells up to 140lbs, there's also a tanning room, dry sauna, locker room w/ showers, tons of cardio stuff, a heavy lifting room, and more. Now, onto the improvements that I think this place really deserves. The smallest thing is Wifi. For the first month I went there I just had to use data to stream music which ate up a ton of my monthly cap. It was only when I found out that the laundry place next door had free wifi that this problem got solved but I feel like this gym should have its own, private wifi for employees and members since just about everyone is using their phone for music. Secondly, either the 4 TV's in the front need to be larger or the one large TV facing the weights should be used for something other than advertisements (Or just get more TV's). Entertainment is crucial for cardio but it is also really helpful in between sets while lifting. Even 1 or 2 TV's set to ESPN or something (Anything but news channels) would really help break up boredom during off times. And finally, my BIGGEST COMPLAINT is the temperature inside. I'm guessing the place is kept at around 72-74 degrees and that place feels like a SAUNA during a workout. If you want to sweat through your shirt by the end of your warm up, this is the place for you. I'm not sure if this temperature range was requested or if it is kept warmer due to the relatively large number of older members but even for non-aerobic exercises it feels oppressive. I'm not a big fan of myself and other members needlessly dripping sweat all over the equipment as it's both gross and contributes to longer clean up times for the members and staff. You'll notice that people rarely do intense cardio at the front, likely because you would be dripping sweat and gasping after 8 minutes on the stair climber. There is a large fan for the cardio section but not only does it not move very fast, but the other 80% of the gym gets nothing from it. I understand cooling a building of that size is expensive but even 2-5 box fans throughout would be a huge help.To conclude: It's an awesome gym, much better than those crossfit gyms scattered throughout State College. But with a couple changes, I think the experience could be greatly improved. Side note: Try and meet the owner, Scotty, if you get a chance. She was the first person I met there and she's great!Edit: Oh, and please fix the "Membership" page on the website. Price listings would be very helpful.”

“Power Train gym is absolutely the best gym in the State College area! I have been at PT for approximately 1.5 years and it has been the only workout/gym routine I have ever been able to keep consistently. The personal trainers are fantastic and very knowledgeable. They teach you proper form for preforming all the exercise routines and they personalize a workout Plan that keeps you challenged and are written specific for your exercise goals. All the Trainers are very encouraging, professional and have great easy going personalities.”
