Great Hotel. Got muffins at breakfast. But my daughter said the grass was too long. Friendly staff.

I stayed here last minute for a State Conference that had the Penn Stater booked out. The decision to stay at Super 8 by College was perfect as the hotel provided more than what I bargained for. It was clean, with lots of breakfast food and coffee, amazing and caring staff, cool residents and guests, located conveniently around busses restaurants wine and spirit, smoke shops etc.

Walkable distance to food. Rooms are a bit outdated and not the cleanest but for the price they're satisfactory. Parking for our motorcycles was not allowed under the entrance overhang... so security could be an issue as random pedestrians frequently walk thru the property.

Rooms: The rooms are clean,it is an older hotel and has a few signs of that. The beds are comfortable.
Nearby activities: Close to Penn State campus and college avenue shopping &dining.
Food and drinks: They have a nice breakfast in the morning a mix of hot and cold. The waffles are good.

Came to visit my Alma Mater (Class of 2007) and chose to stay at this hotel for 2 nights. Despite it being a 2 star hotel, I thought it was pretty reasonable for the price. Check-in was easy and fast. Rooms were spacious, comfortable, and clean, although there were some mold in the ceiling. A/C worked fine and I loved the strong pressure of the showers. There is also fitness center which I did not have time to use. The hotel itself is very quiet and not noisy.
Breakfast consisted of waffles, pre-packaged baked items, oatmeal, cereal, coffee, oranges and apples. I love how coffee was readily available 24/7 in the lobby area just outside the elevator to the rooms. There is also an ice machine in the lounge where breakfast is served (6:30am-9:30am). There is an IHOP right across the street and it's also near a shopping center with Giant Foods and a Starbucks which was convenient especially for someone without a car. An Uber ride is about $9 to downtown State College.
Checkout is at 12PM.
