Another red tape organization that likes to over penalize and take money from students. Penn state has the money and resources to buy new parking control vehicles and hire new workers to patrol illegally parked cars yet still won't provide us with good ride share options that eliminate the need to park on campus. Of the ride share options we have, Lyft and Uber are extremely expensive to the average college student, bikes/scooters are out of range (only available on campus), and CATA is slow and unreliable. Every time I get on a CATA bus I want to puke because the drivers don't know how to work the two types of braking systems.

It's a business center. No good bus service, no good car parking. They never give qualified parking space, and they will run a business at allotted parking space.

Parking at Penn State is a joke. This department is a joke.

Took TWO HOURS to escape the East parking deck. Imagine getting out of work and into your car at 5pm only to not escape your 6 floor parking garage until 7pm ? One lane of the exit is ALWAYS broken.-update- I've changed my review from one star to three star because transportation services sent out a massive email recognizing the problem and looking for ways to fix the issue. Only time will tell if it's improved but I appreciate their effort regardless.

Terrible, terrible service. For the most expensive public university in the United States, one would presume parking would be a given. Instead, the transportation services will wring you for every dollar they can. How a university can have the audacity to charge upwards of $300 per semester and still find every opportunity to dish out tickets and tow vehicles is beyond me. Not to mention the lack of guidance or assistance on the university's end to prevent this from occurring.

The staff was super friendly and the service is okay. The line can take a while to move sometimes . Overall, it was a good experience getting assistance and purchase a transportation pass.

Do yourself a favor and don't waste hundreds of dollars on a parking permit that you can't use to park anywhere remotely convenient on campus.

If I could give a negative -100 rate, I would still be nice with them. Zero efficiency zero understanding and stupid rules. We truly live in idiocracy. Sorry for the 1 nice lady at the front desk pretty sure she doesn’t make the rules.

Horrible. Got a call at 9am telling me that I’m gonna get ticketed after just moving in with the temporary pass and in the right lot. Even when i call back to see how can it be resolved, I get no answer. Literally parked in the lot on Friday that i already paid 700$ and tell me to move cause the registry doesn’t start until Sunday. Then when i move it closer to my dorm, I literally have to convince the yellow vest guy that i live here. Now i have to walk 30+ minutes in the scorching heat. I hate Penn State transportation more than I hate Michigan, which is a hard feat in itself. Get parking anywhere else, just NOT on campus??♂️??♂️

I would give 0 starts if I could. The transportation service has become worse and more expensive since I came to SC. You either have to pay so much for cata ride pass which has only two routes to south or pay for parking pass which for students in west side of the campus is worthless. The staffs were not friendly in a few encounters I had either.

Absolute real world example of tyranny. No sympathy, no understanding. Idiotic rules. No wonder psu ranking has plummted like the 2008 stock market. Perfect defination of retardation.
