“Chanticleer is an absolutely breathtaking space. Better than Longwood, in my opinion! Do not miss this garden in the Philadelphia area- it’s truly the best one!We love to head to Terrain afterwards (8 min drive away) for lunch and to browse garden goodies / souvenirs :)Picnic area: They have tables near the kitchen gardens for picnics!”
“We found this place by chance on a drive and we really enjoyed it. The place was opened to the public and there were volunteers at the entrance that were able to answer questions concerning the once private residence. The paths were very well managed and the gardens (even though still early spring) were lovely. Great place to relax and take in nature. We highly recommend.”
“I found a screech owl standing in the middle of the road during the day, so knew something was not right. I carefully picked it up, placed it in a box with a blanket inside, and brought it to Philly Metro Wildlife Center.
They ask that you donate $50 when you bring in an animal to help cover the cost of taking care of it, which I found to be a small ask. It's also not required at all, so donate what you can, whether it's more or less ?
I was given a case number and was able to call a couple days later to check in on my owl friend. It's nice knowing that you can help an animal to either heal or help it to have an easier death than what was waiting for it in the road. Thank you to the entire animal care team for all that you do”
“The AFTD has been hugely helpful in navigating my family’s journey with Frontotemporal Degeneration, a rare, but unforgiving type of early-onset dementia. The AFTD website includes a plethora of useful information regarding everything from research that is being done to long-term care and advocacy support for families.”
“Everyone goes through hard times and I was sent here when I lost my job. It is like a little shopping store that makes you feel human again and not receiving hand outs . Thank you for helping me and my family.”
“I have spent many years making many visits to the Binky Preserve. It’s a wonderful place to walk dogs or take a relaxing walk on the open trails. It’s a beautiful peaceful place. Highly recommend.”
“We adopted two kittens from the same litter. Adopting from Kitty Cottage is a great experience. They take amazing care of the cats, and ensure they adopt to qualified candidates who will give their cats a great home.”
“Had to surrender 2 dogs under tough circumstances that I was extremely worried about them not taking. One of the dogs was 14 and the other was 7 but had a history of not being great around other dogs. The staff was extremely nice, understanding and sympathetic to my situation. It’s a huge farm like area with tons of space. I can’t say it enough that the staff was amazing especially Stacy.”
“It's small, but there's lot of variety at Hildacy. Trails, open fields of grass, streams...pretty much whatever natural spaces you're into. It's not a popular spot so you can expect some privacy even in summer. Free entrance and parking”
“My family have received so many wonderful things from.Mitzvah Circle. At the time of out needs warm coats for each one of us socks underwear. When our rent went up to 1,300 from being 1,200. Things have been hard. So I was unable to by Xmas gifts this year. Each one of the guys here are Eagles fans. I am a Dallas cowboy fan. Hopefully when Xmas is over we be able to get some kind of help. Bec I just got out the hospital. I have COVID. So I can’t go anywhere. And don’t know how my home are going to get there Xmas meal fromMe. Very upset about that. But I am going to pray about that. I need an electric blanket. for my anemia..”
“This place was a life saver! I got Christmas presents for my 2 boy's a week before the holiday! They came in on there day off to help a bunch of family's! Thank you so much ?”
“This is NOT review of the membership program - I am not a member - but the facility itself is beautiful, clean, and well-organized. This is about their synchronized swimming team, which is excellent. We are their competitors and love attending their meets. They are kind hosts and great, sportsmanlike competitors!”
“I haven't seen smoking bars since pre COVID but walking into this place for the first time to see a metal show and seeing I could have a drink and smoke a cigarette while watching the Phil's between bands was one of my highlights of this past year. Long live the Polish club ??????”
“This Habitat is great! All of the people who work there are really wonderful. It is very large and offers terrific prices and I learned from one of the employees that they are opening and even larger store nearby this year.”
“Excellent quantity of goods and very well organized. The displays make it easy to look at each item without everything being piled up on top of each other. The prices are excellent as well. It's a great place to pick up something knowing that you're making a small contribution to a good cause.”
“Child guidance has helped my family greatly. My daughter has some learning challenges. Child Guidance Resource Center helped set me up with resources and referrals needed to get her the help. I was also very sickly when I reached out to the agency. The therapists really helped me to advocate for my health. This left my family and I feeling empowered. I would definitely recommend Child Guidance Resource Centers ?”

“Beautiful growth and stream. With a little love this could be a renewed treasure. Bridge was out, a tree down~so blocked some of the trails. Tadpoles was a nice surprise. ?”
“I love Surrey consignment shop. I have found all sorts of decorative items, jewelry, gifts, as well as great furniture for my home. Liz, the manager, and the volunteers that work there are so friendly and helpful.”
“We just adopted our new puppy. She spends her first months with Carolynn who did an amazing job. Sissy (ex Dopey) is an incredible girl, well mannered and socialized. My dog and her were already best friends after a couple of days. She has some health conditions which were well explained to us before we made our decision to adopt her. All dogs are taking care by a foster and don’t go to a shelter. We highly recommend them and a huge thank you to Carolynn.”

“ive been here since january 2023 and i have to say this is one of best places i have ever worked. my manager is really supportive and works on the floor with us and works with us on the schedule. everyone in the kitchen works good together and helps each other out. shawn always lets us know that he appreciates us and gets us food to say thanks. i work as a dining aide and i am planning on taking the cna class to continue my career here!!!!”
“❤️❤️❤️❤️Taking class here very helpful, friendly, and professional staff. If and when I do see kids they all look very happy. It’s always a staff near by. Kids are never alone.”
“So, a lot of the reviews said this was a horrible experience, and I became extremely nervous before I went here. Don't listen to these reviews. For the most part, the staff was great and they tried their best and listened to you. There were a few staff members that I did not like very much, but they weren't there very often. One of them would roll her eyes a lot and kinda treat the kids like they were way beneath her, and the other one ran a group that was just very triggering for a ton of kids and even the other staff members were like "Yeah don't listen to a word this guy says." The night shift would be loud sometimes, but the hallway did echo a lot. I think when it comes to the kids behavior it really depends on who is in your group. I was in the teen girls side and there were only two kids who would get into fights, but the rest of them were actually really great and helped me a lot. I think something that's very important to remember is the staff is not against you. They are working to help you the best that they can, and if you have a problem, you can talk about it. Many of the reviews complained about the shower situation, but I was here a few days ago and the showers were okay for the most part. Sometimes there would be a bug or something, but that can't really be helped since this particular location is in the middle of a grass field. Thank you for reading my review, and if you are going to Devereux I wish you the best, and please don't give up on yourself. You are worth the help.”
“Beautiful grounds full of so much interesting history! You can drive thru, walk or even bike through. Definetly take the kids, the whole family or a date. Simply awesome place!”
