I won't take my son here any more. The kids that play there are bullies & only looking for a fight. At one time a black boy gave my son (he was 8 years old) a "free pass" to say the n word & then threatened to beat him up when he said. Because of that incident my son has been called racist several times by different kids. The last time I took him to the park a group of 4 boys were constantly teasing him, throwing shoes at him, & 1 boy even swung on him!

Nice park. My Granddaughter has fun there, however, like most other parks, there is NO SHADE! The slides get so hot the kids can't use them. Even the benches are in the blazing sun.

I have taken my kids here for 13 years and never have regretted it. They have 2 areas with an older and newer playground. Also, its located in a perfect spot, connected to fields where all kids sports are played, dollar general Solomons, and Kiski primary east all within walking distance.

Kennedy Park, a community Park in Vandergrift, PA, is a great place for kids and adults. The park features a well equipped playground area, three practice fields for baseball and football, tennis courts, a skate board area, and a gazebo. It is also home to many events from various ethnic fairs, including the annual Festa Italiana di Vandergrift, to community celebrations, carnivals and local concerts at its stage/amphitheatre. The park is a great community asset for young and old, and a nice place to visit.
