This is a full service Post Office located in Verona PA. They also process passport applications or renewals (check rates online). They can snap passport photos (extra $15) on the spot.Note that on Saturdays, they do not take walk-ins for passports, and appointments are needed (make appointments via the USPS passport application site). Even on other days, it is always better to have an appointment to be sure. The separate passport fee (check rates online) payable to the Department of State has to be via a personal check, or money order (not via credit or debit cards). If you forgot your checkbook, the post office can sell you a money order. There is no actual parking I can see at the post office itself. There is a small carpark right next to it, but that is reserved only for Enterprise customers so do not park there. However, there are ample street parking on the streets around the post office. That includes parts of Allegheny Ave and South Ave (where there are 2 hours free parking signs - see photos). The post office staff are pleasant and professional, and all transactions were done quickly and competently.

Just wondered how to get the Verona Post Office to stop delivering my mail to my old address in Oakmont? I’ve filled out a change of address starting December 10th. I’ve called twice. The post office said they were going to have the carrier retrieve the mail and they did not. Here it is 19 days after I moved and I have to drive to my old address and get my mail. Not sure why they are so incompetent?

This post office is completely incompetent. In two years they've lost 3 packages. The first was returned to me by the neighbor it was mis-delivered to, the second one was retrieved by the carrier after they suggested that I should recover it, and the third is MIA - so sad, too bad. Don't rely on them for anything of value or what can't be replaced.

Terrible customer service! The "Post Master" Jackie is ignorant, and when I asked to speak to someone else (because they lost 3 weeks worth of mail, with very important documents) she said "I'm the post master, you can just go ahead and report me and wait 45 minutes on the phone" then hung up. So sure enough I did, I got through quickly. It is ashame it had to get to this level, i'm not the type of person to report someone but when I have been so patient for weeks with them, only to be told 4 different stories and dealing with a rude lady like herself, a person can only deal with so much. Judging by the reviews I have seen from multiple sources plenty of people have had the same issue with her. I suggest if you don't want to deal with customers then get out of customer service.

I know Your not supposed to back up in the LLV. So the driver, instead of walking a 2lb package to the porch ,drove up to the porch then backed up in My yard 5 feet to turn around.I would never complain about a Mailperson but My neighbor even saw it and called Me.

This is one of the worst post offices I've ever dealt with, I've called to complain about this location before. And nothing ever happens, they have a white female postal worker that I seemed to get each time I call. She's rude, obnoxious, unprofessional and down right nasty. Whenever I call there to inquire about mail or a package, I feel as though she's rushing me off the phone and that she doesn't have time to help me or answer any questions I may have. I work in customer service, and have more than 35 years of experience, and I'm a veteran. This lady is plain old nasty, I called for a package today. And had to call back again this afternoon, and this bad tempered white female postal worker. Once again, practically pushed me off the phone. And I would like to make a formal complaint to the Post Master General as soon as possible about her.

A post office is nothing special unless it's located in the town you happen to be born in. This small town post office is very nostalgic to me. I sometimes make a special trip here just to mail a letter (yes, I still enjoy writing old fashioned letters). May not be worth a special trip, but I do recommend a visit if you happen to be passing through.

Our mail lady in Verona is the best! The local neighborhood cats follow her around her route door to door and she gives them treats. It's honestly one of the highlights of my day when she comes by with them. The post office itself is very convenient but often backed up for service. Haven't tried Oakmont yet but the one on Freeport I know usually goes very quickly and has self-service stamp and mailing machines - making it a lot faster.
