Sraff was knowledgeable and friendly. The vegie section was well stocked and I could not find any spoiled items. The meat selection was good and milk per gallon is at least a dollar cheaper than sheets. The prices are reasonable with many discounts available. The wrapping on some meat leaks but of good quality. Some fruit flies but fresh fruit and veggies. Overall...I would return without question for the big chain stores charge way more for free bagging. This store was hard to find and definitely missable from the main road, however most locals know where it is.

“Dollar General is a perfect miniature Wal Mart in my opinion. I based this on the 1st time I saw & went to a Wal Mart was in Sandusky, OH before we went to Cedar Point in the late 80's early 90's, Wal-Mart was the size of Dollar General but more like a Kmart but a bigger variety of products, not manufacturers, & better price. A great place instead of your convenience store, to purchase household & other products even a frozen food section, most importantly most prices are lower than Wal-Mart's & you are in & out”
“This is probably my favorite Dollar General in and around my city. I think the employees are very friendly and helpful at all of the Dollar General stores, but it is the location that I like best. Also, I believe this is a new store. Many of the locations use buildings that were already there from other businesses closing, but this building was a new build and it shows. Very nice place.”

“The workers are always so helpful and so nice. If you need anything they will try to help you find it or even put it in your car/truck. The crew is the best!!! They work so hard i always feel bad having them stop stocking or doing whatever they are doing to check me out but also greatful they do cause they are so friendly and kind no matter what. Just great staff and store altogether.”

“I walk up from my house to this dollar general a few times a week for snacks, monster energy drinks, etc. Since it’s only abt 0.5 mile walk from my house! Staff are so so sweet & kind & if you’re close to a deal on smth & you don’t know they’ll let you know abt u being close to that deal just incase you want it! “I shop at this Big Lots in New Castle, PA a lot. We did have a Big Lots near where I lived, however it closed. I have always loved Big Lots and the way they have the store set up. It’s very easy to find what you’re looking for and easy to shop. The staff is always pleasant & friendly, super helpful when you ask for assistance. I love the discounts & deals you can find throughout the entire store. I can’t tell you all the things I’ve purchased for my home. I just bought an outdoor patio furniture set for my porch. I really enjoy the “grocery” part of the store as well. Lots of snacks or goodies that you haven’t heard of but are super yummy. I could go on and on, but I feel that you just need to visit the store and explore. I promise you will find some cool things here.”
“Just like any other D.G. store as far as merchandize but this one (Croton ave) is very clean and have friendly workers and every time I go there isn't a bunch of people in there which helps with my anxiety. I'd recommend going to this one before any other one in New Castle, Pa.”

“This dollar general is one of the good ones. Friendly employees but I do have to give a shoutout to the very pretty and nice girl working the register. Her name is Bri, I went in there one day trying to load money on my card and she was very helpful about it, gave me some recommendations, yesterday I went in there to just buy something for dinner and she remembered me, we talked for a little bit and I had told her that one day she is off she needs to order something at bills (on account of I work there and she remembers my bills shirt I had on ?) she is a very helpful, pretty, and hard working lady. Somebody give that girl a raise!! ?”

“This store was so much bigger than I expected it to be! I'm so thankful that it's right down the street and it's very convenient for anything that you could need last minute. They have a lot of fixins to help create dinner and are perfect for quick snacks too! I sometimes find that the pop is cheaper here than at Wal-Mart! Just have to watch for the sales. I'm always impressed about there ever changing home section of home decoration items. My girlfriend gets in trouble here spending more money than she should”
