“I’ve been a loyal customer for years, and my family has trusted your shop for our vehicles for a long time. Even after moving to the State College area, I still travel back to see Nik and the team for inspections and occasional oil changes because of that trust.
Today, I brought my Jeep Wrangler in for its annual inspection and mentioned that I needed a headlight adjustment since I recently installed new headlights. I didn’t ask about the cost beforehand—my mistake—but I was surprised when my total bill came to $229 for the inspection and adjustment.
After reviewing my receipt, I noticed the headlight adjustment alone was $136, which shocked me. From my understanding, this is typically a simple screw adjustment that could have been done quickly. I was in the shop for about 40 minutes total. After leaving, I had asked around from friends and other garages. Normally it’s around $25-$80 at most for this service..
I completely understand that I should have asked for pricing upfront, and that’s a lesson learned. However, I wanted to express my concern because the charge felt excessive for what seemed like a basic adjustment.
Update: I was informed it was a mistake on their end and I was kindly refunded the amount due to the issue!”

“My wife and I were traveling past Tyrone on the highway when we had brake issues arise. So we stopped at Tyrone Tire, hoping to get some help. The front door was locked 25 mins before closing, and the guys out back told us they were closing in like 15 mins and to go somewhere else. So right across the way was Powerhouse. I guess we should have gone there first. Guy was really nice to us. He even stayed past closing to make sure we were alright.”

“We interacted with this business twice in 1 day. Our first visit was to purchase a battery for PolarisRanger XP900. The service rep was helpful and when asked a few questions took the time to provide suggestions and offered further assistance if necessary. So, after realizing our problem was not the battery we called around 4:30-5pm and spoke to a service rep who once again did some research and gave us alternatives . This rep was very patient, as our problem had to do with detailed wiring and harnesses etc. He sounded very knowledgeable and shared his thoughts. I do not have the names but you gentlemen know who you are.
