Went to donate at the dock, after getting reprimanded for bringing a small box in the front to put in the *designated donation cart*. The guy at the dock turned me and my donations down, without even pretending looking at it. Guess he didn't want to do any work in the afternoon? I would've helped, even unloaded the SUV myself. But no, jerk-of-the-dock wanted to be prejudiced and/or lazy. I shop there several times a week, but no more. Don't respond well to shabby treatment...

One of the only thrifts stores in the Pittsburgh areas where most basic items are thrift price. You can still get jeans for $3-8, polos/tshirts $3-6, shoes/boots for $5-15. They stuff they price up is usually appropriate and still worth it on deal days.

SCAM ALERT.Had an unfortunate crazy experience this evening at this store. After shopping for an hour me and my family went up to the register. My mom was checking it out and was purchasing a $6 item that was supposed to be 60% off. But when it was run up it came to 3:50. I said whoa. That's weird. It should be 250, the discount should be 350. No matter what though they cashiers apparently couldn't do math because they wouldn't even hear me out. I said well. Can at least give us 50% off by pressing the 50% off button. They would not even do that because they didn't believe that 60% of 6 is 350. Then the other cashier got all smart and set. The difference is because of tax. And for seated to make fun of me and my math. Interestingly, text on all sixes no more than 50 cents, so that obviously could not count for the discrepancy. Discrepancy. It's really shame that this store is literally scamming people by pressing a button that gives an inaccurate percentage off. And either the people working there can't do math, or they are actively scamming people. People. In addition to this lovely review, I'm going to call the news and the local police. Obviously if they press a particular button, then this would happen to every customer, and not just my mother. Will update

Honestly prices are so much higher than American Thrift and goodwill I don't get it also looked see if I can call corporate on this and found out there not associated with American Thrifts the website has for FL, NJ and NY no PA location. Some staff very helpful but to old ladies up front if your that old n miserable retire or go home. Don't take your attitude out on me.

Overpriced! I grew up in a generation where the thrift store was a place to shop for CHEAPER items. These items are DONATED to you why CHARGE so much for them. I missed going to thrift store finding deals now the deals are at your REGULAR stores or thrift stores out of town are even much cheaper and reasonable. It’s ridiculous. The girls are overpricing stop looking up what you would get if it was brand new. We take the risk of buying the product used and then you INFLATE us with the high prices for an USED item. It just doesn’t make sense. I don’t go as much anymore. I go every once in a while and it’s horrible. I have found better deals shopping online. I gave two stars because the staff especially Loretta is nice and helpful.

The prices and contents of the store were great, however the older women at the counter were downright NASTY. It was over 20 minutes before closing and they were practically yelling for everyone (myself, sister, and literally 2 other people) to leave. When I brought everything to the counter they dead-stared at me when I said that I didn't want an item but was intent on buying other things in my cart. As someone who works in service, I am normally very understanding of service workers but I said forget it and put everything back on the shelves. I know that it's not an airport, I don't need to announce my departure, but I will not be coming back and will not be recommending this store to anyone else.

Not a bad place. The prices are reasonable and the have a large selection of clothing. My only complaint would be that there are no fitting rooms to try things on. Even though the prices are decent, I don't like taking the risk of spending money on something that doesn't fit or look nice. I did not find the staff to be very inviting or nice. Everyone we encountered had a negative attitude.

No clothes for actual plus size women but decent prices on some knick knack items. NO PUBLIC BATHROOM HERE OR ANYWHERE IN PLAZA.

I'm a huge Goodwill Outlet fan, but when I'm out that way, this is a great place to shop!

One of my favorite thrifts in Pittsburgh. Friendly service and usually very good finds! I just love this thrift store and I recommend it. It is very no thrills or fancy but that where you find the gems IMO. Great service-- a nice break from Goodwill; which I am a fan of. American Thrift has sales for example everything was half off last time I went. It is like 6 minutes away from Kennywood.
