They have better hotels in the area. The building needs to be updated and secure hotel room doors installed
Rooms: Rooms need to be renovated, and mattresses upgraded. TV size is too small.
Noteworthy details: Shopping centers nearby

The room was perfect for a short day to York. The hotel was exceptionally clean. However, the breakfast was nothing fancy just eating average hotel, breakfast waffles, etc. Also, there was no restaurant there was no bar and there was no lounge. I felt like this was misleading as the listing states they have it. I chose this location thinking I would be able to enjoy those type of amenities and they were not there.
Update; I have attached a pic of the listing from hotels . Com that show you have these amenities. You do not you offer a discount for a location close by. Please at least be honest in your reply
Rooms: Clean

Stayed here with my boyfriend after a 14 hour drive arrival at 2am and immediately after giving our ID’s we get harassed and questioned by the man with dark hair if we are actually 21 and starts questioning why my name was on our joint back account card. Next morning, I woke up around to get breakfast for the BOTH of us to bring up to our room when i am surrounded by 3 other workers about the amount of food i am getting (4 pancakes, 4 eggs, 10 sausages, 2 bananas, 2 bagels) and then am told “its okay for now but we don’t want food all over the room in the trash it’s okay but not in the room” assuming that my boyfriend and I will trash the room? I’ve stayed in hotels and resorts and have never heard of “not allowing food upstairs” and “have to eat the food downstairs” ever. The next morning (check out at 11am) house keeping opens our door at 8:30 am after 1 knock and asks us 3 times if we were doing a date check out. It was 8:30 am. No obviously not, but he asked 3 times and didn’t even wait for us to open the door. Overall, the rooms are nice enough for the price but the service was worse than I’ve experienced before, won’t be going here again!

It seemed to have just been renovated, so the carpets and furniture were clean and it was very quiet.
However, when I tried to turn on the heating, it was broken.
What a shame.
There is a microwave and refrigerator in the room.
There is a strange smell around the front desk.
Rooms: It has just been renovated and is very clean and quiet.

This hotel is money hungry, it was very dirty they smoked cigarettes in the lobby, very unpleasant, I wouldn’t recommend stay in here if it was the last hotel on earth

My first room smelled bad I was so tired I went to sleep but knew I could not stay the night. Front desk staff was resistant to changing my room saying I should have told them at first. Second room was fine. Mostly upset at how I was handled.

Very nice hotel. The only things complaints I have is that the bed frames are metal and very noisy. They also have a bracket on the side to hold the mattress in place that sticks off the bed a few inches and it's right at knee height. 2nd is the chicken patties for breakfast. That was kind of odd.

I booked this room for a singing group that was coming to town. From the get go there was nothing but problems. It got to the point that the hotel staff were locking the group out of there rooms, and demanding ID's from them. We will never, never use this hotel again. Horrendous experience.

Called to get a room last minute due to losing power , attendant was super rude , answered with a rude hello, and hung up when I tried to confirm the hotel. Ended up calling a different hotel where the attendant was super friendly and booked there.

My wife and I average 35-40 nights a year at Best Western and have been in the top tier of the Best Western rewards program for years. We also spend a similar amount of time at Comfort Inns, which are usually in the same areas as Best Western. Recently, my wife mistakenly made a reservation at the Best Western Westgate Inn on the same night as a Comfort Inn. I realized her mistake 27 hours before our check-in time at the hotels.
I telephoned the Westgate Best Western 27 hours before our check-in time and asked if we could change the reservation from the Friday night scheduled in error to Thursday night. After being transferred through two people, I finally spoke with the general manager of the Westgate Best Western, who told me that I could make a new reservation for Thursday night, but that the hotel has a strict 48-hour cancellation policy and we were too late to cancel the Friday night reservation. "It is a strict policy, very strict," he said.
Well, after spending as much money as I have over the years at Best Western, hearing this buffoon tell me about the strict policy when the hotel is obviously underbooked made me rethink the Best Western choice generally. I telephoned the Comfort Inn, and the person at the desk who answered the phone helped me immediately. "Of course, you can change your reservation, and the rate will actually be less expensive since it's a Thursday instead of the weekend," they said. So, not only were we able to cancel and reschedule with Comfort Inn, but I also got a $22 credit to my card because of the lower rate on a Thursday! What a huge difference in the culture and attitude between the two hotels.
I had to talk to the GM of Westgate Best Western, who told me, "There are no refunds with less than a 48-hour notice." The desk person who answered the phone at Comfort Inn, on the other hand, was able to make the decision and help us with our mistake. I was irritated with Best Western because of this pompous GM, and I promptly got on the computer and canceled the remaining 17 nights we had booked at Best Westerns during our cross-country trip and rebooked with Comfort Inn.
Thinking about the inconsistencies in Best Western service over the past few years, it was the GM at Best Western Westgate Inn who finally made me pull out of the Best Western universe and go to the competing Comfort Inn. Best Western won't miss my 35-40 nights a year staying with them, but I hope others can be spared some aggravation by reading this review and seeking other accommodations that better serve the traveler.
