went to cash a check and got charged a "fee" of $10 for not being a member. no other explanation just it's "our policy". that's not a fee that's a penalty! teller and manger couldn't be any more rude about it!

Only thing I don't understand is how in 2023 a EOE employer has 0 colored people working at this bank not one minoritie yet the all female staff seems to be ok sitting around talking to each other while there 6 people waiting for one teller to help them. I been a member for 20 years and can only say the past five years this bank has gotten bad with customer service. It's sad how certain ethnic groups are not held accountable or treated like others are you would think they would try and do better with a job that is 100 percent customer related

If I could leave zero stars I would. We have been members of First Capital FCU for many many years. They used to have great management and customer services reps. Looking at the most recent reviews, it appears that we are not the only ones dissatisfied with this place. It's not an issue with the service reps or tellers, it's the unprofessional management that has taken over this place. They cannot even call back when there is an issue that needs resolved and it takes DAYS to respond to a simple question! Instead, they buffer themselves with the customer service reps to do their dirty work under the guise that they are busy. Yeah, busy responding to unhappy customers, no doubt! We are all busy, so that is no excuse! They are more than happy to very quickly charge overdraft fees on checks that they say have a hold on them despite showing a POSITIVE balance in your checking account using their app. $150 in fees that started with .11 cents and using a lame excuse as to why they won't refund OUR money. Also, on direct deposit days, they won't credit your account until they make sure a charge isn't coming out first, in an attempt to charge more overdraft fees. Quite simply, stealing your hard-earned money. There are other local banks out there with great management that DO NOT use these shady and morally wrong practices. We cannot get out of FCFCU soon enough! Your management is a joke and about as unprofessional as it gets!! There is NOTHING that makes them stand out from the rest anymore. Take your money elsewhere and you will be glad you did!

-100. They're a bunch of thieves. I've wanted to close my account for years now, its been inactive since I moved from York in 2018. Last November a random $5 charge tried to come out the account from PayPal and bc the account is inactive, I had no idea. They're now harassing me for nearly $150 in overdraft charges and telling me I'd have to physically come to the bank just to close my account....I live in Virginia. They're smoking crack if they think I'm paying it. It'll stay just like that and I don't feel bad for cursing out every person I spoke to. This place sucks.

I don’t care how low of an APR rate these people give you. DO NOT get a loan here. It took me two months to make my last payment because getting money into the account when living out of state (moved recently)is impossible. So I kept occurring interest of 20 cents every time I had to wait for a transfer to be sent to their account. And they did nothing to try and help. AND THEN worst of all - they messed up sending my paid loan info to the DMV so as I waited beyond the 4-6 weeks… no title came. So now we wait ALL OVER AGAIN because of their negligence. Would give it 0 stars if I could.

I belonged to a credit union that got bought out from First Capital Credit Union.. I have other banks and credit unions that I use so I didn’t keep much money in FCCU. I had $70.46 in my account just to keep it open if I decided to get a loan. The other day I received a letter in the mail giving my current balance $55.48, I was puzzled why I didn’t have $70.46, I read the statement and it said “withdraw dormant fee”, I never heard of a bank or C.U taking money from a customer. They take $5 a month if you don’t use them. I called the York branch and explained everything to a manager, she didn’t care about the money being taken out of my account. Needless to say I closed my account!! Don’t use this C.U.

I agree with other consumers their policies and practices are outdated. I moved my children's accounts to online banking years ago and received awesome CD rates. I only had this account open because of my direct deposits that were already set up with them, but after a less than accommodating customer service experience, I'm out.

Absolutely horrific customer service. We have had issues personally time and time again and now my brother has a business account here and they WILL NOT release HIS money to him so he can have HIS money to pay HIS bills. Absolutely uncalled for and ridiculous and will not be using them anymore. Will be withdrawing all of our accounts.

Honestly feels like this Credit Union is from the 1920's. The mobile banking app is all but useless (unless you're just checking your balance basically), and quite frankly the online banking is not much better! Customer service is terrible, agents will claim to have called you, but never actually did. The "kasasa cash back" is great, unfortunately that is the only positive part of this Credit Union in my opinion. I'm disappointed I brought my business to this institution, and I regret the time that I stayed!

I have been a member since 1997 an I have to say I have never had a problem. Everyone that I have interacted with at all their York offices have been wonderful. Always eager to help. They are the best in my book!!
