HIVE artspace is an art gallery and artist collective based in historic downtown York, Pennsylvania. The collective consists of an art gallery run by volunteers, the resident artists in the studios on the premises, and a wide-ranging community of exhibiting artists, from local to national, and from as far away as Greece and Italy. The mission of HIVE artspace is to inspire, motivate and support our artists, to work together to bring independent art into a gallery setting, and to actively participate in, cultivate and nurture the growing creative community within York City. HIVE has new exhibits every month that open on First Friday each month, and they are free and open to the public.
I don't claim to know anything about art, but my sister introduced me to Hive artspace and my kids and I always find something we love when we go and end up adding another beautiful creation to our home art collection. Everyone is always so nice, friendly and welcoming.

Checked them out on a York 1st Friday. Had a nice visit, bought some stuff, talked to some people, very nice. Will definitely visit again.

The diversity of mediums and styles is amazing. And owner, Susan Scofield, makes the HIVE artspace experience special.
