The store is a bit dirty. The staff make you feel like you are bothering them especially at the self checkout machines.

I feel I made a few good acquaintances with the staff across the years but I guess most of them are gone now.
CONS
1. The fruit and vegetable section is lacking produce at times. The floors are dirty. Some of the produce are already bad. Once I saw a bag of smelly potatoes too (not good coz it might contaminate other bags)
2. Some of the shelves are empty considering most customers shop during the weekends. They should fill them up at once considering that would potentially mean added sales if they have the stock anyways.
3. Me and my husband don’t understand the reasoning behind the cashier for the 8 items or less. Those could practically be done in the self service counter and the cashier can be used for regular big shopper carts. ALSO, the manager should be addressing when there are lots of customers in the self service counter lining up and just readily open some of the cash registers. I think they’re just understaffed at this point and merely depend on the self service counter.
PROS
1. I like that they added diversity in their aisles. I see more Mexican and Asian products in there now. Hopefully they would add more since there had been an influx of new people coming to live in CHATEAUGUAY. I’d rather they have those to cater to different nationalities and bring in more customers.
2. The new cashiers (the youngins) are rather slow. Not the same as the ones from before (be it young ones and older ones) which were not only friendly and rather chatty but also worked fast.

I like super c because my grocery bill is the cheapest of all the stores in chateauguay, nice to know that a store thinks of those of us who are living on a fixed income.
However, they spiked their delivery price so I guess I won't be ordering by delivery anymore unless I need to.

Very unpleasant experience at checkout 2 at 3:20 p.m. on August 10, 2024. I am really disappointed with the tone and lack of politeness of certain employees. I understand that it is difficult to find employees these days, but we should still take the time to train them well on how to manage their TPN and words in situations where another member of their team makes an error. .

Produces are usually good quality for decent prices. The meat quality can be a bit low at time but still nothing to be worried about, never got stuck on it. I guess that's a low bar though. Overall the prices are decent if you know the sales and are patient.
Go during low traffic hours and it'll be a better experience when comes time to pay. Your icecream won't melt while waiting in line. Yes, that does include self checkout.

The can/ bottle return machines are filthy and smells bad evertime i go. Always some machines not working. My pet peeve.. they are sticker obsessed clerks. I know it comes from management and its ridiculous. I limit my purchases to the specials i need because of it.

Employees on the floor about sixty, almost bald man and mustache told me the store is closing it was 9:56 p.m. (I completely agree) So I pull my hand to take my box of Captain Crunch to leave, at this moment he suddenly turns and says BEEE YES THAT'S IT I'M GOING I'M GOING?? In an extremely Shrek tone??. It was a gratuitous lack of respect, an insolent attitude of an ogre for absolutely no reason. He thought I wouldn't listen to him ????? So if you see the green man with this description during closing hours, be advised that he might be acting like a badly behaved teenager.
