“This was my first time bringing my car to Takaki Automotives, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the moment I arrived, I was really impressed with their excellent customer service—the staff were welcoming, patient, and took the time to explain everything clearly.
Over the week, they worked on my car with incredible attention to detail. They didn’t just do a surface-level repair, but carefully inspected everything, identified issues I wasn’t even aware of, and made sure the work was done properly. I really appreciated how they kept me informed throughout the process so I always knew what was happening.

“I dropped my car off at Franco Garage around 11:15am (no appointment, they took me right away) and by 12:30pm they had already ordered my car battery AND installed it! The cost was amazing. They only charged me for the battery itself (under $200) and $15 for labour. Everywhere else I called prior to Franco Garage was quoting between $250-$432 for the battery alone and a high labour cost, not to mention long wait times. I will definitely bring my car back to Franco Garage!! What an incredible experience. The service was extremely fast and the guys working were honest, reliable and really personable!”

“I have been going here for ten years and it is the best auto service I have ever encountered. The staff is friendly and honest, knows the customers (and their cars!) and offers efficient, careful servicing at a fair price. A few years back they noted that something was starting to go but would probably be good for another year. I had a recall check at the dealers for something else a few days later. The recall part was replaced and thenhey claimed that the other issue was urgent, just happened to have the part and estimated $200 more than the quote I had been given by Jean at Vinette. From the minute you walk in, till they call you the minute the car is finished, the service is exemplary.
Today, I had two faulty seat belts replaced. As always it iwas efficient, good communication among all, and who can argue with complementary car wash and checks (battery, wipers etc)?”

“I’ve been a client with SMRO for the last 3 years, and just wanted to share how pleased I’ve been with the quality of service from this vehicle repair shop.
Robin takes the time to thoroughly explain the repairs needed on your vehicle, and also provides you with options along with a very fair price to complete any work. These folks are ready to help you out on a moment’s notice (Stephanie has been wonderful in getting my vehicle looked at and diagnosed quickly), and the quality of the parts and workmanship has been second to none in Ottawa.
I now use SMRO exclusively, and have completely stopped bringing my vehicle to any dealerships. I rely solely on Robin and his staff to deal with any repairs & maintenance on my Acura RDX.
I’ve already suggested SMRO to family & friends, all of whom have been extremely pleased with the service. If you’re looking for a reliable & honest repair shop for your vehicle, this is the place!

“Great service, fixed a long time issue with my steering rack. I bought the part off ebay they inspected it to make sure it's working properly before installing.
Kept the old rack for me as well.
They even provided me with a shuttle to work.

I called in the morning to set up an appointment for my brakes and they took me in and had my car ready by 4pm the same day even though i was originally told they wouldn't be able to complete the work the same day. “Just moved from Toronto to Ottawa and back in Toronto we always went to local places and supported local joints and such. Basically got a 13 year old c300 from grandma as a Moving in gift and even though this place was recommended by a friend I was lazy and went to a autoshop in east Orleans, spent over 8k getting this thing certified and just didn’t really have a dope experience. Fast forward and I moved downtown ottawa and I just strolled in here and Paula literally went through all the paperwork and I mentioned to her “I’m not even really sure what has to be done or doesn’t have to be done” and she just went through all the paperwork and booked me in. Vibes are 100% 10/10 here. If you’re also from Toronto or anywhere and moved to Ottawa go here. I should have just reached here and gotten it certified to begin with.
