“Neighborhood shopping center with various service businesses (Jean Coutu, Maxi, SAQ, etc.).
Well done for adding an additional enclosure to bring in the grocery baskets, since the redevelopment of the Provigo into a Maxi. It wasn't a luxury.
All that remains is to improve a little the flow of traffic in the parking lot, which is clearly complicated, among other things, because of the large billboard which obstructs the entry and exit of vehicles.”
“This smart center is a wonderful place to shop for just about anything you are looking for in fashion and home decor, put shopping early is your best option, because the traffic can be horrific in the afternoon around 2-3 pm, especially after 4:pm .. ouchh! ... lol ?”
“Nice place with a bunch of stores, too bad they all close so early in this part of town. I like to go later when fewer people arround, but this situation is forcing me to do otherwise.
Kind of ironic since they probably close early because of less customer arround thoses hours.
Anyway, I can't wait to go back to the West Coast and get the hell out of here, lol.”
“I love this place nearby my home. It has a nice playground for kids and the market is very vibrant with many stalls selling products as well as many food options.”
“plus que étoiles , le service est top qualité , l'écoute besoins du client au top comme à chaque visite conseils suggestions aussi au top !!!! Encore une fois tres satisfait de l'excelent accueil et service !!!! Recommande fortement vetements de qualité Gab et Eli A1 Merci les boys”
“This is the big plaza off boulevard de la Gappe. It's technically called SmartCentres Gatineau, not to be confused with SmartCentres Hull which is on boulevard du Plateau and is considerably smaller. All these plazas kind of look all the same but I have to say that during this Covid-19 Pandemic, I felt much safer walking outside and going to stores in a plaza than in an enclosed mall. This is pretty much the only time in my life when I prefer a plaza to a real shopping mall, considering cold Canadian winters and my aversion to precipitation of all types, lol. This plaza is huge. The main stores are Walmart, Michaels, Dollarama and Winners. There's also a Bulk Barn, Bouclair, GNC, EB Games, L'Équipeur (which is Mark's in the rest of Canada, formerly Mark's Work Warehouse), Golf Town, Ardene, Moore's, Think Kitchen and Structube. For fashion, they have Reitmans, RW & Co, Tommy Hilfiger, Thyme Maternity, Addition Elle, and Aldo. They have a few banks and other services. Food options are limited to Barbie's (a BBQ place), Luxx Deli Bistro, Boston Pizza and Subway. It's nothing too special, but it has a Winners, so extra points for that, lol.”
“Not a very big Mall, that has a home-centrck suburb feel to it; a grocery, two banks, home improvement, and some clothing stores. Public transit also has a service desk here where people can renew monthly passes or buy single-use tickets.
There's a pool-hall that often has live shows and serves alcohol to adults.”
“I’ve been to Galeries de Hull many times over the years, and it’s always had a cozy, familiar feeling. The mall has a special kind of environment — not too big, not too busy — just a comfortable place to walk around, browse, or take care of errands at your own pace.
There’s something about the atmosphere here that sticks with you. It’s steady, relaxed, and easy to settle into, which is probably why so many of my visits turned into good memories. Nothing complicated, just a simple, welcoming space that’s been part of my routine for a long time.
All good memories from this place.
Update: Thank you for the kind message. I’ve always enjoyed visiting over the years, and I’m glad to hear the atmosphere is still as welcoming as I remember. I’ll stop by again when I’m in the area.”
“I live here for a long while now and I always thought it was some office and boring stores but turn out it's like a small shopping center with a Tim Hortons and some nice restaurants I can't wait to try and bank machins convenience store, very great for this place in my neighborhood ?”
“Beautiful place. I went very early morning to get some breakfast. The place appeared to be new and clean . I didn’t get to check out the entire place , but definitely would visit on our next trip . There was ample parking area as well. Strongly recommended”
