“I started building my house back in 2020 during the whole Covid crisis. As the world was falling apart the one thing I could rely on was Gerry who is one of the owners at this local hardware store. Every time I called him, most times stressed and panicked, Gerry remained patient, kind and delivered on everyone of his promises. The guy worked so hard due to a reduction in staff that he literally made himself physically ill. As the world grows increasingly unreasonable with its expectations of wanting everything NOW, I am worried that family run businesses like Gerry's will be unfairly impacted by such impatience. In my opinion, they are doing a great job and I have my house, built during global shortages, to prove it!”
