Ambrose Café is a cute, cozy little coffee shop located in a convenient and safe neighborhood near McGill University. It is tucked away inside an old row house and feels like a small, tucked-away oasis. The space does not feel corporate or overly designed; instead, it has a quaint, relaxing, and homey atmosphere with a positive vibe and thoughtful interior decoration. It is an ideal place for a date, a meeting, or to chill out on a laptop. The staff and baristas are consistently described as lovely, super nice, polite, kind, accommodating, and mild mannered, offering a welcoming smile. There are accounts of employees going above and beyond to help customers. The drinks, including cappuccinos, lattes, and Americanos, are generally considered good and fantastic, offering standard quality, though some notes mention the matcha is not great and the coffee is not exceptional. The pastries, like croissants, are good, but some lunch meals could be fresher and tastier. Overall, it is a must-visit place with a soothing energy for anyone near the McGill campus.
I only tried the cafe and loved their vanilla latte. It was so frothy and perfect. A good quiet ambiance.

Food & drinks: This review is for the cafe only!My partner and I enjoyed our time at the cafe. The location is convenient and the space is cozy. I took one star away because the matcha was not great quality, but my partner enjoyed his cappuccino.

Great expresso coffee ☕️. Nice atmosphere. I wish they had cream, as there is only milk and milk substitute
