“First off , great staff. If it’s your first time, you have priority , so get in the line at 13:30, they will admit you within the hour . Buy a lock if you have anything of value, lockers are crude, some are wooden, but the area is off-limits most of the day. Mandatory shower as you enter , and they will give you free clean undies, T-shirt & socks, just exchange them next day. Dinner is at 6pm, you will receive a main, dessert coffee juice you won’t leave hungry . Lights out at 10 pm, in bunk beds with between 8-12 guys per room. If you expect a steady 8 hour sleep, dream on, your roomies could have apnea, or talk in their sleep, or an argument can break out down the hall
Just be warned though, it can be rough on the soul to see most of the people there. Amputees , addicts, lots of mental illness . If you don’t smoke , the hour or 2 you wait in line will hurt, 90% of guys are smoking by the door to keep their place in line .
It’s a very welcoming place when you are in need, and they WILL take care of you. But just be ready to deal with all kinds behaviour, be civil but also keep to yourself , never know if someone is friendly just to rob you later”

Good for frozen meats & bread, among other things.

“Having participated in a number of online information sessions and attending the all day in person meeting this past fall regarding the impact of the passage of Bill 16, I cannot over state how valuable the RGCQ is to anyone experiencing condo living. The level of expertise available to the public and to members of the RGCQ is truly awe inspiring!!! With the new law(Bill 16) now in effect, along with the many associated new obligations that come with it, it would be a grave error to pass up the incredible volume of accurate information available and shared by the RGCQ. Despite the predominance of information available only in French, it was a treat to participate in an English information session last week offered by the RGCQ. CondoLegal has also done a number of translations for their information bulletins and this greatly demystifies a lot of the otherwise technical language previously available only in French. Bravo to the team at the RGCQ and CondoLegal for helping new condo owners and old alike, in better understanding the laws and obligations involved! I would give a 10 star rating but 5 is the maximum allowed. Merci Beaucoup!!”

“I like to visit this shop every now and then to see what they have on sale & buy second hand. During a recent visit with my partner we had a good experience and friendly customer service from Elise. Nice selection in the store. Since some shops offer it, we asked if they'd be willing to take our old stove when they delivered the new one to repair and re-sell it, but this isn't a service they provide. Just a heads up to organise that before having your item delivered, if you don't have room to store it.”
