“Chu of Italo Egyptian origin and I found here everything I was looking for, variety of fruits and vegetables, traditional products, Greek cheese and olives!! I've been living in the area for 8 years and the quality has never changed, also the price is really reasonable!! Thanks Steve ?”
“The fruits are always fresh and of high quality, the prices are fair. Most importantly, the respectful attitude and great personality of the shop owner who truly treats the customer like family. Shopping here is not just shopping, it is a good feeling. ??May God bless your business.”
“Such a convenient store right at the corner and they have super friendly staff. Definitely made our visit here a lot easier when we needed to make a quick stop for food.”
“Great selection of products and wonderfully fresh ones at that. I made a few delicious discoveries there and would warmly recommend it to anyone who enjoy good food. The prices are more than fair.”
“Supporting local will also save you so much money! They have the best prices on produce. Bien meilleur qu'IGA/metro/rachelle béry. Les employés sont également très gentils.
It’s a small store and can get cramped between 17:00-19:00, so try to go outside of those hours.”
“Best blueberries!!! And their open 24 hours! Great news for a rushing traveller trying to see everything! Staff are super friendly and the prices are very reasonable! Coming here next time I’m in Montréal!”
“Absolutely adorable little market with fresh fruits and cheese and a basic selection of other high quality essentials. Reminded me of a quaint market on an island like Nantucket.”
“This market has the best mix of African and Asian products I have seen in a long time! The staff were very friendly, helpful, and speak many languages to accommodate their customers. I will be back!”
“This is the only place for a few years now that I get my honey. It comes in various sizes and I normally pick it up by the bucket. It is value for money. There is a variety of honey with different taste and wild flowers is my favourite. In addition to honey, they sell all kinds of squash and very competitively priced. Now my new fav is garlic from Quebec. They sell 2 for $5 and trust me, they are worth it. They are huge size and when you cut them in small pieces and fry them, they become crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. It is our new discovery. Garlic that you get from your regular super markets will never come close. This stall is located in Marche Atwater in the open section at the very end of the market.Well worth a visit. The lady is exceptionally nice!”
“The best store to buy fresh fruit and veggies from all over the world. They have a discounted section where you can buy ripe fruit (2 mangos for 1.50). They have some of the same produce as lufa farms up to $3 cheaper.”
“From 7 a.m., staff always ready, products always fresh! Several comparable on the board but far unbeatable owe this success mainly to the owner who between them are a team of fire bravo to them and their team”
“We find a wide range of funky varied products as well as lots of non-flat fruits :D!!!. It's a change from the ordinary! And what’s more, there’s always something new!”
“With its rich choice of fresh vegggies and fruits, Fruterie Shana is a huge asset for the neighbourhood. Custumers and residents massively mobilized during summer 2025 as the landlord threatened to evict the business through shamefull rent increase and new rental conditions. I really hope institutions will step in to guarantee the perennity of the shop.”
“Very good grocery store and above all very good butcher. I made couscous with the meat recommended by the butcher, we enjoyed it ?. The caterer is also excellent, especially their enpeniadas.”
“Produce is good but expensive unless there's a particular special. Otherwise, I love Tondreau for when I want to spoil myself or others with ~fancier~ products. Expect to find items you may not find at other grocery stores!”
