“Hats off to the pastry/bakery people. We've ordered birthday cakes for children a few times now and each time the result has been much better than what we would have expected from a "grocery store cake", and better than the examples that are presented in the binder. Really, the person or people who take care of it are committed to making beautiful cakes, and that makes the little ones (and adults) happy! THANKS!”
“The meat is almost always exceptional, and in the worst case, it remains "only" very good haha! The place often has interesting specials, and the variety of vegetables is always nice and fresh. I've never had a bad experience shopping there.
In addition, there is a nice selection of bulk snack foods and Quebec beers. We love this place!

“Went in here to pick up some tasty steaks for a small Father's Day BBQ. The steaks did not disappoint. It was a picky crowd with everyone wanting different wellness, but I tried my best and pulled it off. Very tender and perfectly seasoned! I will pick these up again for sure!”
“Amazing experience! I ordered a Parillada and it was exquisite, a flavor I never tried before. Miss Alma was so charming and welcoming too. This place is really heartwarming! Blessings to the staff! ? ?”
“The staff is so friendly! They had a huge selection! If they didn’t have amazing products I would honestly come back just because of the friendliness of the staff!”
“Maxi is always a great stop for groceries. The vegetables and fruits are consistently fresh, the store is clean and well organized, and the staff is friendly and helpful. A reliable place for everyday shopping.”
“And the food already prepared is good! For dinner, lunch, or a side dish, this is the place I always go to so as not to be disappointed! And I'm not talking about the pastry and cake counter which is a delight for the eyes as soon as you enter! Menoum menoum for the palace!”
“I was pleasantly surprised by the Metro! I bought strawberries while we were on a road trip and was able to wash them right there — they have large sinks available. I rinsed them quickly, and we enjoyed them on the road. So convenient! ??”
“I liked the freshness of the products, the cleanliness of the place and having enough space to move around. A nice place, but I was expecting more products that you can't find elsewhere though. It takes a long time at the checkout when there is only one open, you don't have to be in a hurry.”
“Le lieu est propre et la majorité du personnel est courtois. Les aliments sont frais et habituellement, la disponibilité des articles est grande. Je mets 4 étoiles car ils ont fait disparaitre les croissants au fromage, de plus les viennoiseries sont vendues maintenant en paquet de 4 taxables quand avant il y avait des paquets de 6 non taxables.”
“Good prices, lots of people, we have to pack our order ourselves, hence their low prices. Lots of house brands (just like other banners, but much cheaper than IGA. Always nice to go there.”
“I love iga..its beautiful and everything is fresh but there's young cashier there doesn't speak English and was very rude to me and actually mocked me.. this is sooo sad and makes me feel bad when I go there...very unpleasant...funny thing is I speak little French but I guess not enough for her.Having said that...I know thru my canadian husband that pepin family would not be happy with this behavior which is poor customer service.. I will continue to shop there since it's great store but I will try hard to stay away from this cashier.. maria”
“Family business, which is amazing. Owner is an honest and kind man, will always land a hand if you need it. Questions are always answered. Their fruits and vegetables is the lowest prices in town and they are always fresh, or they sell the old one for lower price (lowers waste), away from the fresh, which means they are honest people. Products you cannot find anywhere else. 100% recommend!!!”
“(Translated by Google) Nice selection of microbrewery beers. There is no more restaurant though.(Original)Belle sélection de bières de microbrasserie. Il n'y a plus de restaurant par contre”

Grocery Stores
“I have visited several IGAs in my life and they all have a certain level of quality, this one is no exception. The products are fresh and the service is very good. I don't like the layout, it's much better than other grocery stores I've seen but not the best organization.”
“Senegalese grocery store.
Great service, friendly, really good chicken dish.
Thanks for warming it up for us.
Glad to know this grocery store with your prepared meals.
THANKS”
“Always a more economical way to do your shopping, meats and fruits. In addition, the service is friendly. The place is already small for the influx of people arriving, you just have to be patient, but the prices are better than department stores. I highly recommend it!”
“One of the many great things about Maxi is that they price-match items that are on sale at competing retailers. Just make sure that it is the same brand, format, and product details, and they will gladly match the sale price of the competing retailer. Use Flipp or other circular review / shopping app to show the cashier the better priced product go get the dicounted price. Thanks Maxi!”
“It was OK, I guess, I mean it's a super C, so to start with you have to expect very little, I only bought stuff that had big sales on as inflation is out of control and it is what it is.”
“Hey, products were in stock. Automatically 5 stars from me. Yes, that's how low the bar for supermarkets is today. Although, to be fair, lack of products in stock, specially the ones on the front page of the flyer is also an automatic 1 star for me”
“Nice store for discount priced goods. Lots to choose from. We enjoy getting kids snacks (bars) from here. I’ve read they are equivalent to the “no brand” stores of Toronto.
Easy place to shop and the self checkout area was pretty simple.”
“Nous avions découvert cette chaîne de magasin il y a 2 ans lors de notre voyage. Nous y sommes retournés pour les courses, toujours autant de choix et de produits variés.. les tarifs ne sont pas excessifs...jetez un coup d'oeil au rayon "bières" , ça vaut le détour...”
“Really my best place for my grocery shopping, the choice and excellent full of items that I can't find elsewhere as well as very good service! Thank you IGA extra Lambert.”

Grocery Stores
“This is the place if you are on the road for dinner! I bought my dinner in the prepared meals and my dessert at the creamery which is attached next to the grocery store plenty of room to sit even on the swings ;) it was nice and warm, I was able to enjoy it ?”
“Nice grocery store, very clean. (Relatively) reasonable prices for the variety of products offered. Wide variety of excellent quality prepared and ready-to-cook meals”
“Always clean and specials are always available staff available the prices are often extremely competitive for me who studies the prices before shopping They are often my choice”
“The best maxi ever visitedLarge aisles, clean, and above all an excellent variety of fruits and vegetables. To my great surprise, I found okras, bamia, or Greek horns if you prefer, a vegetable that I really like and hard to find even in Montreal.Sugar canes and so onNice staff too”
“You can find everything there and the freshness is there. A must, the charcuterie department with Émile who will serve you with his unparalleled humor and professionalism”
“It has its ups and downs. Stock is an issue. They always have way too much of things that sit around forever and not enough of things that sell very well. For example, Como frozen pizzas come in 4 types and the same kind I'd always sold out, All Dressed, week after week after week, but you know what there's a lot of that I never see being sold? Cheese, Margherita and Sweet & Spicy.. dozens of them week after week, and very rarely are there ever any All Dressed pizzas. If I am understanding correctly, the ordering of stock is done in tandem/by a system (A.I) in recent years instead of having actual people ordering what is needed, so I can only assume that's what causes issues here.
Stock issues aside, the store itself is clean, the employees that have come and gone over my 25 years shopping here have for the most part, all been very kind, attentive and competent at their jobs. The store also has the best prices in town so that's a plus.
One minor annoyance is how they stop selling/verifying Lotto tickets at 9PM almost every single night of the week when they are obligated to keep selling them until 10:30PM or closing time, whichever comes first (in this case their closing time is 10PM) and they don't do that. I worked in retail for 10+ years and we were obligated by Loto-Quebec to sell until 10:30PM and it is clearly explained in the Terms of Service from mandatory training that every employee is required to complete. If you want to buy/scan tickets prior to 9PM, you'll be fine, but after that, they stop selling/scanning tickets even on jackpot draw nights.”
“Wow! I am very happy to have done my grocery shopping at Provigo. I was passing through the area, I'm in Saint-Hubert, so I stopped to buy a few items and finally I did a complete grocery store. Lots of new products that aren't available elsewhere, big organic section. Very clean, I will go back.”
