“Produce is good but expensive unless there's a particular special. Otherwise, I love Tondreau for when I want to spoil myself or others with ~fancier~ products. Expect to find items you may not find at other grocery stores!”
“Todays Chez Vito haul include:
-A delicious fresh burrata prosciutto sandwich that was put together perfectly after I was asked what kind of sandwich I was craving… could not have hit the spot better
-A pink balsamic vinegar bottle I can’t wait to try in a salad
-Imported authentic Italian olive oil
-A box of Matty Matheson Mac n cheese that will undoubtedly make the Kraft-dinner kid in me VERY happy.
Shopping in this store & walking out today brings me the same joy of being a kid in a toy store, except for adult things like cooking oil and quality sandwiches ?
Must visit”
“Emil has outdone himself. Truly.
From the aesthetic, to the quality of the meat, to the service, there is no doubt about it that this is the best butcher shop on the island of Montreal.
Good luck, Emil & the team. You have a lifelong customer.”
“Why would you buy your meat at the grocery store when you can get it at a place like this?
I have been coming here for years and more frequently in recent years. I’m always so impressed by the quality of the meat and service. I lean toward being a vegetarian but cook meat in the meals I make for my family and this is the place to go.
Jean-Francois is often the person I encounter and he is so kind and helpful. He has even given me details regarding how to cook a particular cut of meat for it to turn out as best as possible.
The prices aren’t more expensive than the grocery store and they source their product carefully. 10000% recommend!”

“I went there last week for the first time. Their charcuterie was a hit with my guests. Our favorites were, among others, their “le Fleuron” sausage and their duck and Forestier rillettes. I will go back there for sure,”
“We had very good service. The person who served us was patient and knowledgeable about his products. He remained attentive to us despite our hesitations due to the abundance offered at the counters.
We selected marinated flank steaks (three varieties). They were succulent, melted in the mouth. We also bought some potato skins which were also tasty.
We were able to see the offers from the meat boxes displayed above the counters, the prices of which seemed fair.
Thank you for the great dinner that we cooked using your good products!”
“Very good butcher shop, the meat is good quality, the staff is very knowledgeable and will always advise you and tell you where their meat is sourced from. The prices are fair and a lovely touch is that you can also buy a variety of local products including a nice variety of hot sauces!”

“My favorite boucherie to go to. I always shop here over any other store for meat and even the little things i forget on holidays usually they are open more than other stores that are closed fully or early. Its wonderful! :)”
“Bought some accidentslly bad chicken and called them about it. They said to come in the next day and I had it swapped for a good without issue
Everyone was very nice and understanding.
Love this place”

“I am completely charmed! The service, both delivery and communication, is excellent! The delivery is super fast and the delivery guy is super nice! The meat is fresh and of exceptional quality! I 100% recommend it's the butcher's shop that you no longer need to search for! To try it is to adopt it ! ?♥️”
“As a student, I went there to buy the better of the cheap cuts I could afford. It was in the 80's. It was always better than expected. I rediscovered them a few months ago. We don't eat meat much nowadays, but I wanted to have an old fashioned Thanks Giving. The turkey and the rib roast were just amazing. Friendly, honest, not cheap. You get just enough more than what you paid for. Thank you!”

“Tomato sauces too sweet, lack of herbs (lasagna and chili con carne). Delicious gratin dauphinois. Very good beef with vegetables. The cassoulet could benefit from a little more liquid. Enjoy the holidays without cooking.”
“Excellent variety of meat, the best quality too!
The employees here are absolutely great and have great customer service skills!
Highly recommend this butcher.”
“This place is such a hidden gem. Great if you want value without having to opt for Costco sized portions. There are a few reviews that seem to suggest that the meat is bad, or that the staff are sleazy. I’ve always been more than satisfied. Cost/quality, its a better deal than IGA, Maxi, or (debateably), Super C. ?”
“Best butcher shop in Montreal hands down!!
Quality of meat not found in your regular grocery store, nice variety of products and excellent service! Must visit this beautiful butcher shop!”
“I've been a customer here for almost seven years, and they are simply the best. The steak is incredible—it’s the only place I’ll buy it. With an excellent selection of everything else and genuinely great service.”

“Best Lahme Sandwhiches in mtl. I live in windsor and I came here during the summer for 2 weeks, I had 2 sandwiches a day. Up until now I still can taste the mesmerizing taste in my mouth.”

“Great service! Recently purchased hanger steak & it was excellent. Often buy calf’s liver, they slice it nice & thin for us & remove any gristle & it cooks beautifully.”
“Eric and his team are super nice. A great meeting, he advised us and helped us beyond the butchery but always to eat well
And yesterday, BBQ in Ottawa with French friends after coming to Atwater to get supplies. Extraordinary Beef Side, tender and with a wonderful taste. Thank you for everything.”
“I am so glad I found this place! The service is excellent, the meat is always fresh and the prices are very reasonable. This is the best store in the area by far!”
“I have been to La Caille a few times. They have a lot of fresh meats and different parts and the shop is very clean. Today, I went there to find some pork belly parts for Asian cuisine which I can't find in regular grocery stores. With my poor French, I couldn't explain well what I wanted to buy. Eventually 4 workers were looking at my phone together talking about what I wanted. Finally they figured out what part I needed. The workers are not only kind and welcoming but also very professional. Better quality and fresh products. I am so lucky that this boucherie is just nearby my apartment. Also, I have seen that La Caille delivers their fresh meats to local restaurants every day in my neighborhood. I highly recommend it here.”
“The blood sausage is excellent, I can't wait to go back to buy more, the head cheese too, my husband is of Hungarian origin and he loved it, loves the smoked sausages, there is Hungarian paprika which is not easy to find, those who work on Saturday when we went, very nice and know their products well”
“I was there for the first time, and I met the employees who were nice and friendly. Large varieties of red meats as well as their grocery corner and they have a nice collection of spices at reasonable prices! They offer ready-made empanadas!”
“Honestly the BEST butcher in Montreal! AMAZING customer service that is hard to find these days. They have made a customer for life. If you don’t get their marinated steaks and ribs here you are seriously missing out!!”
“Super clean storefront. Helpful and friendly staff. Many different flavours of sausages. My partner keeps coming back for their cretons! We can't get cretons where we live so this is always his first stop for cretons whenever we're in town! Merci!”
“Every visit to Montreal MUST include a stop at Atlantique Boucherie. I only get to do this 2 or 3 times a year and I make the most of it and I am never disappointed. I love this store.”

“When your looking for quality meats (fresh and homemade) you’ve come to the right place!! Johnny the owner is the main man who knows his meat business and can give advice on helping you make your sausages or other homemade cured meats ...my mom and I buy all our pork meat for homemade sausages....they weigh all the ingredients, so all you have to do is mix and dry them!!
If you looking for cheap prices...go somewhere else...like they say, “ you pay for what you get”!!
GM BOUCHERIE for quality and service!”
“Been going here for 35 years never had a problem, quality meat perfect cuts and amazing ready cooked food, can’t go wrong especially when it comes down to price point.”
