“Produce is good but expensive unless there's a particular special. Otherwise, I love Tondreau for when I want to spoil myself or others with ~fancier~ products. Expect to find items you may not find at other grocery stores!”

-A delicious fresh burrata prosciutto sandwich that was put together perfectly after I was asked what kind of sandwich I was craving… could not have hit the spot better
-A pink balsamic vinegar bottle I can’t wait to try in a salad

-A box of Matty Matheson Mac n cheese that will undoubtedly make the Kraft-dinner kid in me VERY happy.

They make their own beef jerky which is totaly awesome, and their marinated meats are incredible
They have the BEST cuts of meat and fish etc... one could ask for at great prices

“Why would you buy your meat at the grocery store when you can get it at a place like this?
I have been coming here for years and more frequently in recent years. I’m always so impressed by the quality of the meat and service. I lean toward being a vegetarian but cook meat in the meals I make for my family and this is the place to go.
Jean-Francois is often the person I encounter and he is so kind and helpful. He has even given me details regarding how to cook a particular cut of meat for it to turn out as best as possible.
The prices aren’t more expensive than the grocery store and they source their product carefully. 10000% recommend!”

“As a student, I went there to buy the better of the cheap cuts I could afford. It was in the 80's. It was always better than expected. I rediscovered them a few months ago. We don't eat meat much nowadays, but I wanted to have an old fashioned Thanks Giving. The turkey and the rib roast were just amazing. Friendly, honest, not cheap. You get just enough more than what you paid for. Thank you!”
“Tomato sauces too sweet, lack of herbs (lasagna and chili con carne). Delicious gratin dauphinois. Very good beef with vegetables. The cassoulet could benefit from a little more liquid. Enjoy the holidays without cooking.”

“I have been to La Caille a few times. They have a lot of fresh meats and different parts and the shop is very clean. Today, I went there to find some pork belly parts for Asian cuisine which I can't find in regular grocery stores. With my poor French, I couldn't explain well what I wanted to buy. Eventually 4 workers were looking at my phone together talking about what I wanted. Finally they figured out what part I needed. The workers are not only kind and welcoming but also very professional. Better quality and fresh products. I am so lucky that this boucherie is just nearby my apartment. Also, I have seen that La Caille delivers their fresh meats to local restaurants every day in my neighborhood. I highly recommend it here.”
