“Truly an awesome place to pick up quality veggies, meat, cold cuts and other groceries, and i am sure i am not the only one because i see so many locals visiting this place all the time. What i love the most about this place is the quality of meat and professionalism; they are not the cheapest but if you want good quality for the family and get together to bring home; ribs, steaks, any kind of ground meat for stew, sauces and dumplings (yeah i am Asian) this place is it. They have so many good selection of marinated meats, prepacked veggies that are seasoned already, i think it's perfect and you don't have to be a great cook to have great supper at home with their products. They understand exactly what you need and always offer the best service they can. From my personal experience, the rib steaks are one of the best i have ever tasted and the marinated bavette (black garlic..?) is to die for. They also have marinated portuguese chicken using great quality chicken , this cooks amazing in the oven. Sausages are good but need a little bit of improvement as I see them being a bit heavily seasoned (i have tried two kinds so far). Really happy to have this place in the area, please keep it up!!”

They took the time to clean out the specific steaks I was looking for even though it meant having to work for 10 minutes. Definitely a significantly better shopping experience than at the other shop in the area that caters to the gentrified clientele and that I won't name here.

There are a few reviews that seem to suggest that the meat is bad, or that the staff are sleazy. I’ve always been more than satisfied. Cost/quality, its a better deal than IGA, Maxi, or (debateably), Super C. ?”

“I have been to La Caille a few times. They have a lot of fresh meats and different parts and the shop is very clean. Today, I went there to find some pork belly parts for Asian cuisine which I can't find in regular grocery stores. With my poor French, I couldn't explain well what I wanted to buy. Eventually 4 workers were looking at my phone together talking about what I wanted. Finally they figured out what part I needed. The workers are not only kind and welcoming but also very professional. Better quality and fresh products. I am so lucky that this boucherie is just nearby my apartment. Also, I have seen that La Caille delivers their fresh meats to local restaurants every day in my neighborhood. I highly recommend it here.”

Always friendly and you can find neat items there. They have a few vegetables so you can skip the grocery store entirely if you want. Great spot.”
