You guys treat these animals horribly, the cages aren't cleaned properly, to many animals in one tiny cage, and some of the animals even have bugs

Bought a couple fish. Walked around in the area for several mins (10-15). No one in the store approached or even acknowledged I was waiting. I ended up just buying Betta fish. May need a little more training on recognizing people needing assistance. (I know i could have gone to ask someone)

The sales associate went out of his way to help me this evening. He was extremely patient and knowledgeable about their rewards’ program and saved me money. This was a lovely and unexpected surprise!

I have been going to Petco for over 15years with my pets never have I experienced what I have experienced today. If I could give this place this place no stars I would. We just came out of the store with our dog looking like the pictures I have attached. All this after receiving a rude phone call from the employee stating that “they have been calling me for the past two hours and that if I don’t pick up my dog within the hour they will have to charge me an extra fee” , this was at 2:50pm. I apologize to the employee thinking I was in the wrong and stated that I would be there right away to pick him up. We would have never left our dog there longer than he needed to be purposely. I then asked my wife if she had received any calls from Petco and she answered “no”. I then look at my phone to see the only call to me was missed at 1:41pm. They made pay before handing me my dog to come back to their desk and be presented with what’s in the pictures.

If I could give it a zero I truly would! I had my sons dog groomed on Saturday and we were very dissatisfied we left there and went home and realized that they made a grooming mistake actually many! And because of that he was practically shaved! We did not want to cause a problem when we picked him up but he looks nothing like he’s supposed to look at all! I will never ever ever bring him back to Petco and also make sure that anyone I know that wants their dog groomed will not come to you! I don’t understand how these people can call themselves professional groomers! Definitely not, we had Zeke groomed there back in March and that groomer did a good job! That’s why we returned it was a very busy day in there but that is still no excuse! Also paid 95 dollars! Which is unacceptable for a store groomer

They barely have anything. They mostly have clothing for dogs. Limited treats and toys

I'll be honest, any other time I'd say hey it was okay.
The staff are always pleasant and offer a robotic, did-you-find-everything-okay at checkout but this specific experience I was helped by Daniel.
Really made a great impression for service!
He assisted me with locating an item I was after as well as informed me of the flexibility of your less than half consumed return policy.
I was happy to learn that!

My dog and I stopped in for a quick nail trim. I didn't have to wait very long, and I got to watch her when they trimmed her. They were gentle with her and did an excellent job!

I had taken all 3 of my dogs to Petco in Cranston for grooming for years with no problem at all. The last time we took them there, the cashier who was distracted and trying to sell me a monthly service forgot to charge me for one dog. The manager Brittany, who is unbelievably rude and in no way should be dealing with anyone in the public realm, called me and told me that I was only charged for one dog and I needed to come back and pay. She insists I was in the parking lot, which is quite comical since I was already close to home in Chepachet. I had to go to work in Boston and explained this to her. I offered to give a credit card over the phone, to mail a check to the store, or to have her come and pick the check up from my mailbox since it is a 30 minute ride back to Cranston and another 30 minute back to Chepachet. None of these options were good enough. She said it was my responsibility as a consumer to see that I wasn't charged and to correct the cashier. The cashier was not held responsible for her mistake. Brittany insisted that I knew I was only paying for one dog. I usually don't even pay attention to what I am being charged and the cashier did not tell me a final number because she was too busy trying to sell me a monthly service. On top of this, when I brought my receipts showing I paid to grooming they didn't say anything about missing payment for one dog. They did however take a 40 dollar tip for two dogs. So, both the cashier and the grooming department failed, but Brittany insists that is is all my fault. I offered multiple different options, but none were acceptable to her. Again I had been going there for years grooming and have never had any issue at all. Brittany seems to be the problem and accused me of stealing despite her employees not doing their jobs in two departments. We did go back and pay the bill when we were in Cranston again and they told me they removed the block on the account so that I was able to book appointments. I was able to make appointments online with Petco in Smithfield. Unfortunately today my appointments were cancelled and when I spoke to the lovely gentleman in grooming in Smithfield he informed me that it was due to the Cranston Petco. I will be filing a report with both the BBB and the Attorney General given the poor way I was treated and that despite paying my bill and being told that the block was removed on the account, Brittany did not do her job and remove it.
So much for the customer always being right. Brittany is the only one who believes she is right - from telling me I was still in the parking lot (I would love to know how she can insist she knows this as if she was following me and I was there she should have knocked on my window). The cashier who failed to ring the services in correctly to the grooming department taking the receipt and not saying anything were not held responsible for their actions and Brittany will not be responsible for the way she treated a customer and to remove the block on the account so we could take our services elsewhere. Failure of employees to do their jobs comes from poor management. Maybe if the cashier focused on what she was doing instead of pressuring consumers into buying a monthly service this mistake wouldn't have happened. Corporate greed and poor management at its best.

Worst organized pet store I’ve been in. Cat food is interspersed with other items; birds are in sad little cages and manifesting behavioral issues
