“This place is so welcoming and has quite the selection! My dog Baxter loves their pupcakes and the duck chew sticks. Ordered a cake for his birthday and they had many examples of cakes they've done previously to browse through. They really do put your pup first with great prices!”

“Z is fantastic. A wonderfully pleasant lady who takes pride in remembering her customers. She also knows our pets and shows kindness and care for pets and their humans. She is knowledgeable about the products she sells and does not sell highly commercial foods. She only sells products she believes in that are beneficial to your pet. There is also a full grooming tub available with shampoos and towels. This can be rented at a reasonable price to give pets a bath. I would recommend this store to anybody. Great service and supporting small business in Rhode Island.”
“We use the self service dog wash here. That alone makes it an amazing place. It is well kept and clean, and $12 to wash your dog and not have to worry about the mess or bath water all over is so worth it. Staff is friendly, store is well stocked and VERY clean.”

“Really good selection of fresh water fish.Awesome staff, very helpful. And they keep all the animals in really good shape. I have been here a few times and have not seen a single dead fish or snail. That's opposite to what you'd see at any big P store.”
“Glad they moved to a new location still in Warwick. Also super excited for the self wash stations. No longer have to drive to Kingston or East Providence from Warwick for their wash stations. I know a native ri complaint. Intrigued by the open air stalls though. Definitely will try the wash station one day. They still carry all of varieties of treats and frozen dog foods.”

“I love love this local spot for animals and their humans. I was in a bind when my dog sitter bailed on me on folk festival weekend. I walked into Animal Island with our cavapoo hoping to get a lead on a new sitter and the owner totally came to the rescue—helping me find a new sitter for the next day by connecting me with one of their regular customers. It was such a relief and I couldn't be more grateful!Animal Island is clearly a special place that truly cares about its customers and their furry friends.”

Well, let me tell you how impossible it was to print out invitations for an 8 year olds birthday party ! After multiple attempts to print them from home and having constant issues (not lining up, looking blurry, the printer declaring a vacation day… and refusing to work), I’m soooo glad I was finally smart enough to give up and go to Staples!
I walked in, explained exactly what I wanted, emailed the file to them, gave my contact info and then left. Within a few hours, an email said they were ready for pick up!
That’s all it took to get 30 of the best invitations I have ever seen! They came out perfect and were worth every penny! Plus, they even applied a discount since there was a sale I didn’t know about when I was there!!
I was so happy with the experience I forgot to take pics of the invites but I’ll update this review with pics as soon as I can.
I’ll be going back again soon to have some larger sized copies made. I’m sure it’ll be as easy and convenient as before.
Oh, and yes, I ended up firing my printer…. Lol”

“I adopted an adult male cat from this shelter afew months ago. We spent afew days corresponding through email after I reached out via PetFinder. The cat I originally wanted to see was adopted after I had planned to see him. I had asked them if they had cats of a similar temperament available. They pointed me in the direction of one, and sang his praises. I fell in love with him. When we visited the establishment was just freshly cleaned. Everyone we came in contact with was very friendly. Although the cat we adopted- his personality was much different than originally described by the shelter. He is a very "scared of his own shadow" type of cat. But he still fits right in, and with some work he has gotten better, and is starting to show his goofy side. A volunteer reached out for updates afew times to see how he was adjusting to his new home, which I thought was great because most places aren't that invested in their animals and are looking for quick turnaround.”
“Michelle is great. Our dog really needed attention concerning allergies. Michelle was extremely thorough, truly caring and did the proper testing to get us fast results. We appreciate the A+ service. Everyone at the vet was friendly and fast”
“The only pet store we would go to. We got some dog training from a guy named Nick. He did a great job and came and helped me when I had questions about my puppy. I specifically book the class with him. They do require you to have your dog's paperwork. Especially if you're taking it in for service or training. So keep that in mind and make sure to sign up for the rewards app. You end up getting $5 back every amount that you spend. Between the rewards and the friendly service there we go there as much as possible. There is also a nice man in the front register. I will have to update with his name. He is always very friendly and complimentary.”

“It's wild to me how people are claiming that any of the good reviews are "fake". We live here in West Warwick, RI and got our black lab at the Scituate location on August 25th 2021. We have had her since then and she is still with us today. Healthy and thriving! She will be turning 3 years old this coming May. She's been such a great addition to our family and it stinks that some people have had bad experiences but I personally didn't have any issues with the staff or the process.”
