3 stars not many products in stock and a 4% fee for buying a quart of oil and using Apple Pay. You should know before you come here. Best to go to the hardware store or tractor supply.

George does a great job keeping my mower running perfectly. Great family owned business. 5 stars!

Two ATV's went in to establish what were wrong with them. I was Informed of issues with each. They were told to work on ONE of them only, period. They opted to ignore clear instructions and worked on both. This caused an additional $700+ bill. Wish I communicated with them in writing. Other local agencies have been informed about this abuse from this company.

Had a lawn mower serviced that was ok and ran decently. I took a 8 year old snow blower there that clearly had a carb issue with little use.. Probably Ethanol varnishing up the works. Dropped on 12/3, with a 45$ deposit and picked up a week or so later. 176$ more on pick up. Reported full fuel system service with carb clean. I started in 2x before the big snow and it ran for a minute or so. I put in more ethanol free fuel and left it for 2 more weeks before using. First big snow I took it out and ran it for 10 mins and it began stalling again. Checked everything. Petcock, Spark plug, and connection, choke position, emergency key, gas level. kept restarting and it became worse and worse. I took back to Barrett's and it was left for another 3 days then was called to pick up. The charged me another 78$ for carb gasket and a few odds and ends. Ridiculous. I was expecting NO CHARGE because they claimed a full fuel system and carb service was just done three weeks ago. I took it home and it started and ran for 10 mins or so again and then started the same thing over and over. Took it right back. Showed Mr. Barrett a video of the problem I was having and stated that I just paid for 2 SERVICES for this problem and it wasn't fixed to begin with. Then there was a lot of word stumbling, terrible excuses like, "water in the gas you're buying, ethanol correcting additives," and simply just not addressing any of my issues. I used Ethanol free fuel because I was sure he was going to give me this excuse again. His final "fix" was "just run it with the choke 1/4 on," to see if it fixes it and get back to me. Lastly Mr. Barrett stated that "we might just have to put a new carb on it." Wouldn't you know that if you had taken the carb apart and cleaned it out? Yes, you would. How do I know? I know how to do all this s**** I'm just working my a** off, and I'm a single dad and I don't have the time. This carb has very little wear and is totally serviceable. So I'm 300$ into this "repair" and he wants to keep throwing parts at it. I won't be back. As a P.S., I had to borrow a snow blower and, while in the back of my truck, I was cut off and had to make a quick maneuver to avoid a terrible driver, off the road. The borrowed snow blower flew forward into my rear window and smashed it, even tied down. Another 500$ bill that I didn't have to spend if the repair was done correctly. EDIT: I finally tore the carb down. It was full of junk. They probably just sprayed carb cleaner in it to get it running. The carb needs a rebuild. The old seat had disintegrated and had only a tiny pinhole for fuel to pass through, which explains the fuel starvation problem. I had to dig the old seat out of the carb. Pathetic.

Needed 1 belt and blades sharpened. Kept seeing why it wasn't done . Finally after 2 weeks sitting they said the 3rd week.I said I need it now. They did it after 2 weeks and 2 days . I had already paid $65 up front and was told another $30 which really became another $188. I would look elsewhere. They estimated time at close to 2 hrs. They lost a customer for life. They said it takes time to replace the belts.Yes, They did a second belt I did not ask for and the machine had previously been in and that price was overcharged too.I should have done it all myself. Well...Buying new equipment from another dealer .People put themselves slowly out of business

I try to shop local as much as I can because I enjoy the level of service and the pride small businesses take in their work. However, I would not recommend this business to anyone who needs small engine repair. They don't follow through with their word and dont take pride in their work like you normally get from a local small business.

Very disappointed. I called the owner and asked how much to have two new tires place on two rims if I brought them in. I was told $20 for both, because most larger shops around me wanted $30 I was sure to ask a second time is that $20 for both tires and was told absolutely. The conversation changed completely when my wife who was going to be in the area decided to take the tires for me while I was working around the house. She dropped them off and went to the market after being told to give him about 30 minutes because he was doing something..after she returned over hour and thirty minutes later the tires were not mounted. When she questioned it she was told when customers come in he has to stop what he is doing in front of him. He then said he would do them why she stood there only to tell her that the price was $40 and not $20. My wife stood her ground and explained that was not what was said over the phone..he then denied what he told me and said he gets $85 an hour and based on time being it would be $40 .he only took 15 minutes to mount both tires when he decided to do them, that would have been the $20 he told me on the phone based on the time. He not only told my wife the price was higher then what he told me but he had no concern to make a customer...after reading all his bad reviews I wanted to support the community thinking he's only mounting tires...my loss, next time, Allen Seed or Howard Johnson s where they dont change the price on you after the work is done.

Kept the mower 3 days longer than originally told. Failed to return phone calls with updates. Replaced a part that had nothing to do with the problem. Mower still doing the exact same thing.
