I HAD been a customer with these people for years until I got an oil bill that was $100.00 over what the actual price was. When I inquired about it I was met with white hot hostility. Anyone with 20/200 vision could see that there's a difference between a "5" and a "6" . Maybe they can hire drivers who can write clearly and office staff that can act like adults instead of hurt children. I was told" don't call again" Don't worry darlin' I won't, but as I said, Facebook Instagram and Twitter will hear about this little dustup LADY: I WAS "ACCUSING YOU" of nothing more than a math error.

They play games with there pricing. Lady on the phone acts like the soup n*** on sienfled. Order one day before get the price than the driver tacks on 15 cents and the barrel goes down another three bucks. Ya price gouging . I

I don't have any problem with oil delivery or prices with Tefft. They have my credit card and deliver automatically, and I don't have to worry about a thing. I just got off the phone to inquire about their propane service and they were very helpful answering my many questions. I've been a customer for years and recommend them.

I've been with Tefft oil for years, I will give them four stars because I never had any major problems with them, But I have to say I was very disappointed with the delivery guy, they told us to leave a check in a plastic bag on the oil pipe, so I did I put the check in a envelope and in a baggie then in a bag to hang it the night before, he took the check out of the plastic bag and just threw it, then took it out of the baggie, and threw that, then took it out of the envelope and threw that, just threw it in the yard, like who does that, just put it all back in the bag and hang it where we had it on the pipe, and take the check, that was beyond ride and unnecessary, and now they lost a customer cause I can't understand why he felt he had to be rude and litter in the yard.

The delivery driver left oil hand prints on our brand new siding as well as leaving rude notes on the delivery slip. Will not be using again.

We have been with company for 16 years, don't know why? They are rude unreliable and out right unprofessional.Called to schedule a delivery and ask to fill just 100 gallons.Posted a note for the driver to confirm just the 100 gallons.The driver left without filling any oil.Call Tefft and they told me they had a policy of 125 gallons minimum.Obviously there isn't any communication between the scheduler in the office and the drivers, they could have call me back and tell me what the policy was.I call back and who ever works there, rude as ever and told me that was nothing they could do to right now. These guys pure unprofessional jerks,stay away from them!!!

Ordered 300 gallons of fuel oil for the price displayed on the website $2.60 per gallon. Was contacted the next day and told the price had increased to $2.68 per gallon but the website was not updated because they were so busy that week. Agreed to the increased price because I was told that was the price. Received a delivery the next day of only 145.5 gallons at the price of $2.72. The delivery ticket was printed the day before for 300 gallons at $2.68 and was hand altered to 145.5 gallons at the altered price of $2.72 per gallon. Tried to call them no answer and no response to my voice message that was left.Forwarded this complaint to the RI Attorney General office of Consumer Protection to see what help they can provide. Of course I will no longer be doing business with these folks after being a customer of several years this is how they treat you. Who needs it, I can be robbed by someone I have never dealt with before.

Very reasonable prices, and generally fast delivery. We have been getting our propane elsewhere, after calling and receiving two deliveries, we were very pleased with the service. Often times during hurricane season, one can get caught by surprise and find that they are running out of propane or fuel oil quicker than they thought. Especially where we live in the Hope Valley area, it is not uncommon for power to be out for several days, and even a week. It's nice to know that we can call them and get fast delivery, and reliable service. They have been the difference between running out of fuel, or continuing to run our home on generator power during unexpected long periods without power. Because you never know when power is going to go out to due to a storm, an accident, or even just Highwinds knocking down trees and power lines, it's nice to be able to have a company you can rely on to get you the feel you need quickly and without problems. I highly recommend them.

I had scheduled a delivery for during the week but ran out of home fuel oil on the weekend. I called and left a message. Within the hour I got a call back then a second call back letting me know that a truck was coming, diverted off a regular route, to get me going. Freezing temps outside has me worried. Tefft Oil came through for my family. Their prices are always very reasonable and the staff have always be friendly and courteous. I highly recommend JC Tefft for your home fuel needs.
