The Johnston Indoor Recreation Center is a large, modern, and well-maintained facility located centrally in Johnston, close to RT.6 and 295. It features multiple basketball courts, which are clean, easy to find, and have bleachers for spectators. The interior is kept very clean, with modern restrooms and hand sanitizers at the entrance. The staff provides professional service, making visits pleasant. The center is also appreciated for its strong air conditioning, especially during hot weather. However, parking is a significant issue. The main parking lot near the entrance is small and full of potholes and mud, especially after rain, making it difficult to park and walk to the building. Additional parking is available behind the center but involves a walk in bad weather. Some visitors find the parking situation frustrating, and there is concern over the fees for watching games. Improvements to parking, paving walkways, and possibly adding noise-blocking partitions for courts could enhance the overall experience. Despite these issues, the facility is a great place for indoor sports and recreation.

Good for basketball and other indoor sports. They do need to pave the rest parking lot, it gets muddy and plenty of pot holes.Also, the entrance needs to be widened and drop off moved, to close to the road. The walk from the backlot needs to be paved, gets muddy

Nice facility but extremely poor parking potholes mud terrible. For having to pay a fee to see these games they definitely need to make a significant improvement in the parking facilities.
