“I’ve lived in the area over 20 years. And although the postal workers have changed over the years they have always remained as some of the kindest in all of the city. This continues to remain my favorite station and has a small town/neighborhood feel to it.”

“I've been using this post office for years & have never had an issue. There's only long lines around nov-dec for obvious reasons. Staff is always helpful, location is much more convenient than the downtown location (parking always a nightmare), & the Corliss location is fine but it's ALWAYS so busy. Parking on Smith has never been an issue, or if you take public transportation, the bus (57 or 56 line) runs approx every 20 min & drops very close by. It is sometimes hard to spot since it's in the same building as a Mexican food restaurant & sits next to the Rhode Island credit union.”
“So, I just moved to North Providence and had to google the nearest post office. When I saw the bad reviews, I was driving there wondering what my experience would be like. Well, when I arrived there, I stood in a line of only 2 people, and noticed the clerk was very friendly and outgoing. When it was finally my turn, she was very helpful and answered all my questions. I introduced myself, and she stated her name is: Katt Lead Clerk. She did a great job and great customer service skills. Stop putting negative comments on places it ruins people's expectations. Let's be kind!”

“Chelsea was late to the appointment and then said that I needed to reschedule because I was missing some information on the passport application. I was in the middle of getting this info on the phone and then she said couldn't wait because she was understaffed. I asked for a supervisor because she was rushing me after being late herself. At the end she disappeared in the back, the supervisor never came after being page twice. It looks bad on there part because they did not care to help which is way we should continue to fire these federal workers who don't want to work.”

“I want to extend my sincere thanks to Hector. I arrived at the post office on August 7, 2026 looking to ship an envelope overnight. Hector provided me with one of your envelopes and placed my envelope inside it. He addressed it for me, weighed the envelope & marked it for overnight delivery. After I paid Hector, he took the time to go over the receipt with me and show me the arrows he drew on the lines I would need if I wanted to track my package. Not only was Hector helping me, he was assisting other customers as well. He was so pleasant, kind & helpful. I hope he gets to see this message. “Very friendly and helpful ladies working the counter. Never encountered any problems. They are so nice. Sometimes there is only 1 working and the line is long but I am happy to wait because of those nice ladies. They do their jobs the best they can. How USPS staffs their location is out of their abilities. There is also self serve at this location from printing QR label to ship the package if you don’t want to wait.”
