The MacColl YMCA has provided childcare, swimming, camping and other successful family programs for over 60 years. The new two-story 52,000 square foot year-round facility includes a 25-yard Lap pool as well as a Family Activity pool with a double loop Waterslide and Spray area. The new facility has a full court gymnasium (with 6 half courts) for basketball and other sports as well as a full scale Rock Climbing Wall. The facility also includes a 5,000 square foot wellness center, complete with treadmills, elliptical cross trainers, weight machines and other fitness equipment. Additional site improvements of the 125-acre site next to Route 146 include expanded parking and hiking trails. The facility has been upgrading its equipment, keeping it clean and well-maintained. The staff, from the front desk to the instructors, are friendly and helpful. While the swimming lessons for kids have mixed reviews, the YMCA is considered an incredible and wonderful place, with great value for the money, despite some concerns about the operating hours.
3 stars because I like the pool and most workout classes, they upgraded machines that used to be fine to new ones that are awful! You can’t adjust the new weight machines which makes using them either difficult or dangerous!

They have been doing loads to upgrade their machines and equipment, so that there is something always available. They keep it very clean and well-maintained) and their staff from the front desk to all of the instructors are friendly and helpful! I love it there! Great value for the money!
