This is my gym but I swear to god someone is going to drop dead from them not having the AC on.I complained to three people a few days ago. They turned it on. It was 90 degrees.Today is even hotter . No AC. Absolutely insane.

If you are looking for somewhere to send your child for summer camp, look elsewhere. Besides the lack of communication and disorganization being frustrating, the camp is also staffed with young, unexperienced counselors who have no idea how to manage a group of kids. Also, the feel of this camp is extremely unfriendly- never a hello from the 4 counselors who sit at the parent sign in table. They would always be too busy talking to each other to acknowledge the campers or parents who were dropping off for the day. After being extremely upset with the experience my child was getting and realizing that the MacColl YMCA camp did not have the resources necessary to take care of my child, I decided it would be in our best interest to find a new camp. The YMCA said they would have to charge us a cancellation fee for each of my children who were enrolled in camp. After stating that I was pulling my child because they did not have the proper resources to care for my child and I should not be responsible for a fee, they decided to waive the fee for my child who was at camp. However, they charged a cancellation fee for my other child who hadn’t even attended camp yet and stated that they would have to charge the fee because “she had not had any issues at camp,” even though she was not scheduled to attend camp until the end of the Summer.Save yourself the frustration and stay away from the Camp at MacColl YMCA. I wished I had read many of the reviews on here before signing my children up for Camp. It seems as though many others have had a similar experience.

Neat and clean.Friendly staff.Their monthly programs are not continued every month. We need to enroll and register ourselves, which is painful.

Would be a decent place if they were ever open. All weekend, they close at 3 pm. I have gone there multiple times forgetting this and had to turn around because of it. They're also closed, what it seems, every holiday. No clear signage posted about it and no mention of it on the street sign, "Closed Memorial Day" or whatever. So much for trying to stick to a fitness schedule.

The facility is maintained, clean and staff are very friendly. It seems to rub off because the patrons are as well. It is easily accessible, right off Rt 146 north.

YMCA Should not be more than planet fitness. I miss the pool but it’s not worth $70 and I’ll wait for LA Fitness.

Great place but today on way out I told a little arrogant schmuc a senior fell in steam room who was trying to get us off floor since benches and chairs removed. His response “that’s on him” because suppose to be 1 at time. I wanted to smack him like maybe his father should of and he said well only 1 is suppose to be in at a time…. Wow empathy at its. Best huh ? Number one there’s no sign saying 1 at a time. 2nd your response to a complaint about a senior falling should not be “that’s on him” !!!!!! Grow up !!

They figure they can treat you like absolute garbage...I spent less than 60 seconds conversing with a lifeguard and it consisted of him speaking to me like he'd love to lose my business...well, mission accomplished!...my daughter went from swimming on her own and standing higher than the water line a month ago to requiring a 1 on 1 swimming companion...I don't think the lifeguard should be dealing with kids and I don't wish to return so long as he's still employed there...this was the final straw of being treated like an unvalued annoyance
