“Ferreira's is one of only a handful of liquor stores on Aquidneck Island. So disclaimer...if I lived in a more liquor dense area, this store would have a slightly lower rating. Their selection is limited, especially when it comes to new and trendy alcohols. I often can't find things like mini boxes of wine, or a limited addition run of a beer that I can get if I cross over the border into Mass. But they do have a decent selection of your typical wines (J. Lohr, Robert Mondavi, etc.) and beer (Buds, Dogfish, etc.). I will say the staff is very friendly, and will often remember what you purchased last time, and will offer to grab it for you as soon as you walk in.”

“Simply the BEST liqour store in Newport! For the transplants, we can not buy beer/wine/liquor at the grocery store. So finding one of these that has what you want... it is Great! The ONLY place I can buy ShockTop (and i looked everywhere). All the wine and all the options for liquor. They do tastings and have a reward point system for money off. Look... this is the place. It is clean, full of options, and you can actually walk through the aisles!”

“Fantastic selection of wines and beer! The store is organized in a very logical manner, with the beer section in front (by the main entrance) and the wine section on the other side of the wall. I'm a true aficionado of Spanish wine, and they have an incredible selection from which to choose. They also have a very impressive selection of Italian and Portuguese wines. They are a bit on the pricey side but given its location, it should not come as a shock to anyone. That said, the staff is extremely friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. I highly recommend you stop by this jewel of an establishment.”

“Clutch spot right in the middle of Newport. Super packed but this store is central to most hotels (and the Harbor Marina Inn) to get chilled bottles or some nice local wine to have by your rooms fire pit. Going out is nice, but when you're paying a ton for a room, it's nice to enjoy the amenities also!”

“I've stopped here numerous times in the last 8 years and I've only been lucky enough to meet 2 people that I believe own this very respectful establishment both are very nice and respectful and I'm always greeted with a smile while I've only really bought liquor but a handful of times I have looked around quite a bit and they have a great selection of a little bit of everything mostly love the fact that they are a nice hometown establishment other than the normal city out of country owners that seem to be taking over the world just that alone should give them 10 stars. Love this place you will too..”
