Newport Fudgery is open and has two locations on Thames Street, with a larger shop on Lower Thames Street where the fudge is made. They also have an online store. It is an ideal stop for delicious snacks and treats for anyone with a sweet tooth. The fudge is delicious, soft, fresh, and great, with flavors like Sea Salt Caramel. One Elephant's ear is never enough. They offer a sampler if you are not sure which flavor you want. You can sometimes watch live demonstrations of fudge being made, which kids will love. The staff behind the counter are super friendly, pleasant, helpful, and look happy to be there. They also sell saltwater taffy by the flavor or in a mixed box and other candy items. Parking is street parking, paid during tourist season and free during winter.

The wonderful smells lured me into this shop. I do not normally buy fudge. My son wanted to try the different varieties. He has a nut allergy so it was nice to see he had something like 6 options that were not free. I was quite impressed with the fudge, they tend to be too sweet but this was just right.
