Stopped in because I love fudge. Bought three kinds and they were great. The young man at the counter was pleasant and helpful. I will definitely come back anytime I am in Newport.

One Elephants ear is never enough. Don't say I didn't warn you. Delicious snacks and ideal treats for the sweet tooth in you. If you're visiting at the right time, you can even watch live demonstrations of fudge being made. The kids will love it and so will you. I advise you purchase yourself extra. Or else you'll be disappointed by how fast you ate it and then want more.Parking: Street parking. Paid paid during tourist season. Free during winter.

There are 2 locations in newport, 1 , the larger shop, on lower Thames Street, where the fudge is made and also sold .We were at the smaller shop on Upper Thames Street. They have a Sampler, if you are not sure which flavor you want. I got Sea Salt caramel. It is delicious and really soft and fresh. They offer saltwater taffy, by the flavor or a mixed box, and other candy items.

Newport Fudgery is right on the main street near the marinas in the heart of Newport. It's a cute space. I purchased three pieces of fudge: Oreo, milk chocolate, and triple chocolate, as well as a couple of milk chocolate lobster-shaped lollipops. They were all just okay; I certainly wasn't wowed by any of the fudges and the chocolate lollipop wasn't my favorite. I'd rather go to my usual fudge spots along the boardwalk in New Jersey. Service was fine also. All told, the definition of a 3-star experience.

Disappointed in the salt water taffy. I confess this is a fudge spot but my kids chose salt water taffy. It was very stale, I could not eat it at all. This might be because we visited in March but they should check that the treats they are selling are still good. The staff is friendly and it's in a good spot but I don't know I'd return considering the stale candies.

Lovely little handmade fudge place in Newport.Took a visit to grab some snacks for a quick sugar rush on the road. We were welcomed by an old lady who gave us a detailed explanation of their production and different flavors. Ended up getting the chocolate marshmallow, chocolate chip, and the oreo crunch fudge, and all were delicious. Usually not a big fan of fudges but I enjoyed their silky yet slightly crunchy texture.

The fudge was delicious. I don't like how it is sold. I wanted a pound of fudge. They only have pre packaged. I was told each package was about a quarter of a pound they were sold as 3/$12 or 6/$22. Well they definitely are not a quarter of a pound. One was 3 3/8 oz., one was 2 1/4 oz and one 3 1/8. I will never buy pre packaged again. The consumer really gets gypped

I grew up eating the elephant ears. Omg they were soooo good. What happened!? Family is in from out of state the first thing they want to do is go to Newport and get elephant ears. So that’s what we did! They are smaller and now cost 5$ each. 5$ for 1 elephant ear. At the cost it takes to make them that’s a bit steep. But that’s not even the worst part. They sold them to us with parchment paper for some type of sport on them which was fine. They didn’t sit in a hot car we bought them in our way back home. Kids took them out and asks us to peel the paper off and it mostly came off but what did come off was stuck to the bottom. I don’t remember the elephant ears being sticky at all before and now they have this glaze on them that soaked up the paper they cooked them on. I never ever wrote reviews like this and I understand businesses have been through the ringer because of the financial strains from Covid. I’d be willing to pay the 5$ for special occasions but not when we’d have to eat around the cooking paper that’s stuck to them. I hope 1 day they’ll drop the price and I’ll be back if they do.

Really tasty fudge! We got 3 - praline pecan, peanut butter chocolate, and salted caramel. All were really good and of course sweet. I think my favorite was the praline pecan but I honestly enjoyed them all. They also sell salt water taffy and elephant ears and other little candies. Quaint little shop to stop by whilst walking down the area of Newport.

Those elephant ears….omg those elephant ears haha. They Used to be much bigger but after COVID they are smaller and a bit more expensive. A bit to much but they are worth it for a once in a while
