Went for a pedicure this morning and the nail technical cut my big toe nail down below the quick and my toe was bleeding so I had to leave! Very upset as this should never have happened and has never happened to me before.

First time going to Star nails. The lady I had was very pushy and had an overall unpleasant demeanor during my service. I was with my friend so I didn’t want to complain about the service in front of her. She made my cuticle bleed on one of my toes and didn’t scrub my heels well enough. Then at the end had the audacity to ask for a tip! Paid $70 for service. Don’t intend to go back.

I had an extremely upsetting experience on June 25th. I booked a 6 PM appointment for a manicure with acrylics, but only after starting the removal of my old set was I told they don’t offer acrylics — only UV gel. I went ahead, but the process was painful, and when I said it was burning, the tech (I believe his name is Josh, table 9) said “it is what it is” and continued without care.
He was dismissive throughout, rushed my French tips despite my feedback, and didn’t clean my hands properly. After paying $95, he demanded a tip in cash. I calmly told him I didn’t feel he earned one due to his attitude. He became aggressive, and when I left, he followed me outside yelling profanity and calling me names. I was shocked and scared.
No one should be treated like this. It was unprofessional, disrespectful, and made me feel unsafe. I hope management takes this seriously. My set of nails ain’t bad but ain’t 100%what I asked for even with the feedback I gave him he didn’t fix it hence I think he didn’t offer his best service he did his just the bare minimum then hi wants to talk about “I work in American I should pay for service” not when it sucked Josh!

Do not go to Star Nails. So disappointed with their service. I got my acrylics done and within one week they all broke and snapped off. I went to go get them fixed and they refused to fix them and tried to charge me 75 dollars. I was treated with utter rudeness and no help whatsoever. The same thing happened to my friend. I would severely not recommend.

First time trying Star. I got a gel fill on Friday, by Saturday at least half my nails were chipped. I went back Sunday to get them fixed. All of them were chipped again the next and by Tuesday they were all peeling off.

Absolutely horrible! The pedicure chairs are torn and you can literally feel the metal in your back. Then the person doing my pedicure cracked my nail then attempted to glue it. At that point I left. Overpriced for the service probably because it has a Bellevue address.

I was charged an extra $10 on my basic manicure simply because I asked the nail tech to file my nails in an almond shape. Since when is there an upcharge for filing?? These people price gouge for every dime they can get and it's absurd!

It was my first time here and had a great experience. Good service and very reasonable. It’s been two weeks now and nails still look great. Will return!

i got an acrylic set and i like the color but i was not given the shape or length of the picture that i showed the nail tech, causing me to have to ask multiple times to get my nails shorter but still having to file them myself. i am satisfied with the set after fixing it myself, but after only a week the gel is peeling off. very unfortunate for having payed $105 for the set, which is just pink with chrome finish. not only that but i have also never been in so much pain getting my nails done, my cuticles and fingers were burning due to the product they use. i have already had to glue one nail back on, which is not typical for only having these nails for a week. everyone was very nice, especially the receptionist, but i would still not return

The reality is that those who leave bad reviews still continue to go to that nail salon, so what is your goal? I saw a few people at that nail salon.

Star nails of Newport and Middletown are a great example of rudeness, poor quality, disinterest and worst yet unsanitary conditions! The owners don't care, and the general nasty culture/attitude is prevalent amongst all technicians
I agree with all the negative reviews I've seen.
Never a smile and never any interest in customer service. Impossible to discuss customer requests /complaints due to very little English spoken in the salon.
If you watch closely you will see highly unsanitary use of tools, materials etc.
I know of a couple of infections gotten there as well. Stay away!
